In my head Noel and David are cooking up this cool, fast paced electronic infused rock record. But it'll probably just sound like classic Noel Gallagher. While I would love the wind up that would occur on this board if that happened, and I might enjoy the tunes as well, I'm fine with more classic Noel. I've been enjoying it for 22 years already. Funny how on a board full of hardcore Oasis fans, "classic Noel" is used almost as an insult...

Imagine if Noel played this, like the original, without slowing it down or butchering it up, needs to get out there.

I think that term was damned to eternity after Noel made SOTSOG a one-and-done thing with experimenting.

I hate What A Life. I hate In The Heat Of The Moment. I hate Do The Damage. I hate Ballad Of The Mighty I. I hate all his attempts of shitty dance tunes. I'm not against his electronic path but so far I wasn't really impressed... to say the least. I could have a good surprise as long as it's far from those 4 poor songs.

The terms "disco", "electronic" and "experimental" have lost all meaning when it comes to Noel. Probably because we have all heard his older songs so often that everything slightly different sounds like alien space jazz in comparison - but songs like Do the Damage aren't anywhere near electronic or dance music.
I'm actually pretty happy about that too, one of my favorite bands started doing actual electronic music and it was the worst shit ever.

You're in for a shock with album #3 I expect! I still think BOTMI is one of the best post Oasis Gallagher tracks. For me it has the most interesting vibe of any new oasis related song that I've heard since becoming a fan when Lyla came out.

The chord changing between the verses and the bridge is awful. The worst Noel ever made.

Looks like Noel's leather jacket has taken a right battering and he's stitched part of it up with carpet. Time to go on tour and make a bit of money to replace it.

I love it how Ballad of the Mighty I is received with two opposites. You love it or hate it.
I really don't like it.

Ballad of the Mighty I is my favorite Noel solo tune so far, even beating out Everybody's On The Run, The Dying of the Light and Alone On A Rope. It's something that would never have happened in Oasis and that's why I hope they never get back together. Noel's better on his own now. Can't wait for Album #3!

Just boarding hype train: I don't know, if it was mentioned somewhere here before (although I dug through forum), but here is a guy who apparently does Engineering and some programming for NG new album + he has connection with David Holmes--> www.emremusic.com Here is probably the first thing from all of the guys mentioned above. (yeah, I know, this was posted before)

Noel is confirmed to tour with U2 in July. It surely must mean we will have a new album in the autumn.

"Hi, I'm Noel Gallagher, I'm glad you enjoyed my new tunes, buy my album in 3 months when you've forgotten my name again. Cheers, here's U2."

*drum beat coincides with the rhythm on the guitar track* FFS NOEL IS BASICALLY JUST MAKING EDM NOW UGH At the very least, we will have music that is still better than The Good Rebel. In all seriousness, there's nothing to get worried about - David Holmes is an excellent artist, filing him alongside EDM is like putting Brian Eno on a low pedestal with Dave Sardy.
