I was listening to the Russell Brand podcast from the week before the Sgt. Pepper's documentary. Noel was on and Brand spoke to him about it, Noel saying they were going in to record it that week. Brand said he wanted to talk to Noel about it off air and said he couldn't disclose why. As it turned out Brand recorded 'When I'm 64'. This got me thinking - they both recorded that following week, they're both friends and Brand, not being a musician, doesn't have a backing band. Does anyone have any idea if Noel and maybe even the rest of the band helped Russell Brand out with his track, or even have any proof either way? It sounds like something Noel might do as he helped Ricky Gervais out on 'Freelove Freeway'. I don't have an audio clip but if anyone does it might be worth posting to analyse. Cheers!

Yeah, Noel hadn't even heard the track before Russell played it to him on his radio show so no, he didn't have any involvement with it.
