I'm Only Sleeping, which is fucking overrated. And this is one of my favourite Beatles songs.
But I like the other two better. Two of my top 10 Beatles songs.

I'm Only Sleeping, though it is a fantastic song. Was this the first use of backwards guitar in a rock recording?

Eleanor Rigby. My favourite Paul's track, ever, along Hey Jude.

ELEANOR RIGBY
But as this is an Oasis forum the Lennon track will probably win.

Tomorrow Never Knows. I found out today that it was Paul's idea to put tape loops on it! The man is indeed experimental, Lennon fanboys.

If Tomorrow Never Knows wins I will consider forgiving this forum for voting In My Life ahead of Norwegian Wood.

Capable of far-out, experimental awesomeness, yet prefers to play it safe. P.S. I actually like that song a lot ha ha.

Although Tomorrow Never Knows is the go-to Beatles song for many when they think of innovation (and with good reason) Eleanor Rigby was also very experimental, especially given the way the strings were close-mic recorded.

I agree with this. The reason why Eleanor Rigby doesn't sound as experimental to us 21st century listeners is because it's been copied by everyone. On the other hand, no artist could ever replicate or has ever replicated the insane psychedelic sound of Tomorrow Never Knows, which is why it sounds futuristic even today.

This is really really really tough. Eleanor Rigby is one of the greatest Beatles songs ever but Tomorrow Never Knows edges it - perfect blend of Lennon's mysticism and McCartney's experimentalism. It changes though... tomorrow may be an Eleanor Rigby day.
There's no one better out of Lennon or McCartney. As ever, that song is evidence that the whole is greater than the sum of all parts.
