I don't think Alan's return is a question of "resting up"...lol. Noel sacked him. Bottom line. I figure there is as much of a chance of Tony Mac returning as there is Alan. From what I can tell Zac is a member of the band. If his schedule with the Who conflicts with Oasis' recording a new record, than I would bet that Noel will just postpone the recording until Zac is free... If for some reason Zac doesn't return than I predict that Terry Kirkbride would come on board for a turn. My 2 Cents, for what its worth.

Yeah, I reckon' Terry would drum if Zak couldn't. Would love for Steve White to drum though, he was fuckin' great on The Tour of Brotherly Love. Zak is a great drummer anyways, so I'll be happy if he continues, which I'm sure he will.

would be very interesting to see though if alan white does come back, it would probably hit the headlines of some top magazines and maybe oasis could do with the publicity because they are not doing very well now are they, they have slipped alot since the 90's and we could do with getting more the oasis we used to know from the 'Definitely Maybe' days

I think it's most likely to be Terry, but only if Zak doesn't join permanently

I know Liam's voice isn't the same, but Roger Daltrey's voice is fucked and gone Why he would want to continue with The Who over Oasis...

I have this sneaking suspicion that Andy B is out. I've been thinking that too.. At the Brits he looked miserable and since he's been out of view in a lot of the bands goings on. It's weird because on the DM and DBTT DVDs he seemed to keen and was really bigging the band up. -edit- Though he does live in Sweden.. which is probably why he isn't THAT involved.. from what i remember seeing in an interview it takes them a few days to get hold of him.. he may have just been having an off day at the Brits.. I hope he does stay though!

I hope he stays aswell. I like him a lot. He fits in with the band, he's a great musician and I enjoy the tunes that he has written for Oasis.... It's that hug that Noel gave him after their performance at the Brit Awards that I cannot shake from memory. It almost looked like a "goodbye'' hug... I'm probably way off though. Alot of times in interviews Andy just seemed disinterested by the whole thing... almost like he felt he was wasting his time by being the bass player in Oasis.... I'll stop rambling on now.. Cheers

This is an intersting thread.....
About Zach, I saw his first gig in Poole in 2004 and wasnt impressed, he was terrible at Glasto a few days later but really came into his own on the DBTT tour. I mean if you ever hear rumours of Oasis dates, one sure way to clarify any substance is to cross check them with the WHO dates. Alan White WONT be back. I am actually seeing Zach with the Who in Dublin tonight but I would love him to return to the Oasis fold. Noel has always matained that he is not an official member because of his WHO committments however I wouldnt like to see Oasis organise their eitire schedule to suit ZACH. Teryy on the STC sessions has been fantastic and would be interested to see him with the band but I think the least line up changes the better.
About the Andy B rumour. I would be devastated. For me TURN UP THE SUN is the best Oasis tune of the last 2-3 years. He would be sorley missed.
Seeing as the whole band were all saying how tight they were in 2005/DBTT tour I would love to see them stay as they are.

I have this sneaking suspicion that Andy B is out. Isn't he just a bit vague and likes to do his own thing?

Yeah, Andy is a great member, very talented musician, and a great song writer. The stuff he did with Ride and Hurricane #1 were fabulous and hes really coming into his own peak with Oasis. Keep The Dream Alive is one of the best tunes by Oasis, period!

Andy should be playing guitar not bass. Listen to his Ride stuff. Unbelieveable.

I don't think there is any truth to the Andy leaving rumors. I won't believe it until it becomes official. I would not make much of Andy's facial expressions because in my opinion he always has carried a very stern face when seen with the band. Gem is more of the light-hearted guy it seems.
Regarding Alan White - I would love to see him back with the band, and drumming instead of Zak, bud sadly I don't think it will happen. With the way he went out it just feels like the door was completely closed not leaving any possible return.
