Don't think there's ever been a white house that was so incredibly tone deaf.
How they didn't think that firing Comey would be met without suspicion, boggles my mind.

Trump needs to be impeached.
Firing Comey while he was investigating Trump's aides' ties to Russia was a clear abuse of power. I've seen some news outlets say that this has "echoes" of the Saturday Night Massacre. No, this is Trump's Saturday Night Massacre.
It's becoming clearer and clearer that Trump has something to hide. Just read Comey's dismissal letter. The official rationale for his firing is thinner than paper. I feel personally insulted that the President of the United States thinks that I am (and the rest of the nation) so stupid that I would believe that Comey's firing has anything to do with how he handled Clinton's emails investigation. Take this on top with the similar firing of Sally Yates, the charges against Michael Flynn, and his persistent refusal to release his tax returns. There's very clearly something more to all of this that we don't know - and that Trump doesn't want us to know.
If you think that my statements above are radical or partisan, I understand. But just think about how you would have reacted if Hillary Clinton had fired Comey while he was in the middle of investigating her email server. You'd be saying that she had something to hide, that she fired him to deliberately hinder the investigation, that she was abusing her Presidential power. And you'd be absolutely right. Abuse of power shouldn't be a partisan issue. If a Democrat had done the same thing, I'd be angry too. Remember that both Democrats and Republicans came together and made a stand against Nixon and his administration when Watergate blew wide open.
Sadly, I don't think that the House has the spine or interest to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump. And no doubt Trump knew he had nothing to lose when he fired Comey. If I had a base that was as dedicated, for lack of a better word, as his, I wouldn't be afraid to make such an outrageous move as he did. I'll bet that Trump will receive no political fallout for what he has done. There's no way that many of his supporters will change their mind about him when they hear this new development.
This is what happens when political leaders cannot be held accountable. They no longer feel afraid make such outrageous moves that they don't even try to conceal their intentions. Is that the kind of country we want to live in?

Trump is going to jail, he can't avoid this forever. His Tweets are insane and smack of a guilty man. It's blindingly obvious what's happening and that his team and probably him colluded with Russia last year. He seems terrified now the truth is starting to come out. Also, grand jury subpoenas we're issued for Flynns Russian business dealings in the past few weeks. The walls are starting to cave in for Trump.

Ohio governor John Kasich seems to be the only decent Republican politician left, and he's gonna end up getting blackballed by the now even more idiotic Republican Party....
God bless.

This administration is like a farcical sitcom. There's no way anyone would write this shit because it would usually just be too unbelievable.

"Anthony Scaramucci sacked as Trump media chief"
This is basically the real life equivalent of a foul mouthed tirade on Football Manager at your introductory press conference and then immediately getting the sack.

I should've never bumped this thread the other day..... Mitt Romney's one of the worst republicans....he came out before the election last year, even held a press conference and denounced Donald Trump.....then wanted to be in Donald Trump's cabinet. I actually have more respect for Donald Trump for essentially telling Mitt to go fuck himself by not giving him the job. God bless.

I actually have more respect for Donald Trump for essentially telling Mitt to go fuck himself by not giving him the job. Couldn't have said it better myself. Mitt Romney showed himself to be a spineless, sniveling coward. All that tough talk, and for what? To bend the knee like a fucking cretin. Here's one for yer: Who will have been the better president when all is said and done - W. Bush or Trump? W. All day, every day. For every disagreement I had with GWB's platform—and I had many—I never thought he was a bad person or doing things maliciously. His administration? Absolutely. But Bush? No way. Trump, on the other hand, is a vindictive, malicious bully with skin so thin it would be translucent if it wasn't spray painted orange, and an ego visible from the International Space Station.

www.cnn.com/2017/08/16/politics/trump-white-supremacy-nuance/index.html'there is blame on both sides'? ok, so i think the jury is in on trump. despicable. i am embarrassed to call this man my president. this guy will be the first single-term president we have had since george h.w. bush. i just hope whoever the dems throw against this guy isn't extreme hard left (as i favor the middle ground), because at this point whoever runs against him will win. again, this is shameful and embarrassing to say the least.

The US is more fucked under Trump than even I thought was possible last November. Just waiting on him pressing the nuclear button now. A disgusting President.

Literally no chance of that - the furthest left the American system will allow is someone like Bernie, who's essentially a moderate New-Dealer.
