Let Forever Be is a cool track that was stronger than a good chunk of the stuff Oasis was releasing around that time, but Setting Sun wins it hands down for me. As good as any Oasis song he has written* and far better than anything else he has done, whether solo or as part of a collaboration. A real genuine classic that was definitely a major stepping stone on Noel's winning streak between Supersonic to D'You Know What I Mean?
Coming On Strong really stood out as being a solid heyday era Oasis track, so I'm surprised it never got used up before hand.
*Not forgetting The Chemical Brothers big contribution of course! Props

Still waiting for The Chemical Brothers to produce one of Noel's solo albums.

LEt Forever Be, for sure.
That said, the live acoustic Setting Sun with Fade in Out is one of their finest live moments.

Noel's Setting Sun with Fade In-Out is the only way I can listen to it. On its own, Let Forever Be is amazing.

I really like both. And Setting Sun going into Fade In-Out is one of my favourite live things of the BHN era.

Does anyone know a bit more about Noel's contribution to let forever be, how it came about or any info at all. I don't think I've ever read any info about let forever be.

Setting Sun is very cool but a bit 'loud' I think is the right word to use? Let Forever Be is just brilliantly catchy.

Noel's Setting Sun with Fade In-Out is the only way I can listen to it. On its own, Let Forever Be is amazing. It needs to be on the bonus CD for the infamous Be Here Now reissue.

Just listened to Let Forever Be again, and it's really annoying isn't it?
I don't think it even comes close to Setting Sun.
SS is just a pure anthem.

Setting Sun is just so fucking loud and in your face. video was pure gold, bought the single in a second hand shop in 97 and the remixes were brilliant(ly long). no drugs, no booze - just music and it gave me all the confidence in the world.
and if Buzz Tracks was a Beastie Boys song, it would be a hit
