Chasing Yesterday.
Don't care for Candle, or Leave My Guitar Alone tracks and may well never listen to them again.
But Revolution Song? Freaky Teeth? Do The Damage? Easy.

There are songs on HFB that I originally liked, but now hate. Namely STC and RM. What crap songs.

Both the songs on HFB and CY are amazing, but for whatever reason I prefer the songs on HFB. Perhaps it's because they're more like Oasis, even though I appreciate that Noel was more adventurous on CY.

HFB easily. I like Chasing Yesterday but like Noel said, it's like batch of different TV series whereas the first album is a whole movie. I prefer the overall feeling of the songs on the first one.
CY has given us only Here's a Candle and Leave My Guitar Alone plus remixes, with High Flying Birds came more new songs and of better quality: Alone on the Rope, Let the Lord Shine a Light on Me AND the demos of the whole album AND the four leaked demos (even though they don't really count).

^ CY has also given us Do The Damage, Revolution Song and Freaky Teeth.
Which is why I go with CY. There's not a single song I truly dislike on it and it's easier to listen to in one sit imo.

Ah true. But Revolution Song and Freaky Teeth were already out in the public before the release of CY. Of course they were different versions but still. I don't think I've given them a listen after the week I bought the album.

Album-wise, the worst tracks from CY are much stronger than the worst from HFB. Overall I'd say Chasing Yesterday

Gonna do this mathematically, picking only the songs I really love, by the era not the album, and of course IMO:
NGHFB:
- Everybody's On The Run
- Stranded On The Wrong Beach
- Record Machine
- What A Life
- Broken Arrow
- Simple Game of Genius
- Alone On The Rope
CY:
- Riverman
- Ballad Of The Mighty I
- You Know We Can't Go Back
- Lock All The Doors
- In The Heat Of The Moment
- The Dying Of The Light
- The Right Stuff
- Do The Damage
So 7 vs 8
Chasing Yesterday wins it (by 1) for me.

HFB definitely, for me. The album is just as good as CY and the bonus tracks are among Noel's best in his solo career.

NGHFB, I think it's the better album.
