God Help Us All, AKA... If There's A God or Crashing When You Burn. Whatever you want to call it.
This song has been doing the rounds since about 2006 (I believe?) yet somehow it still hasn't been released. It's actually a really great song, and it kicks the shit out of weaklings like 'The Good Rebel' and 'Revolution Song'.
Does Noel actually have any plans for this song or is it going to remain on the everr -expanding pile of unreleased Noel Gallagher songs? I'm starting to think he's forgotten about it. Maybe he'll put it out as a b-side 17 years after writing it like he did with Revolution Song. Maybe he'll give parts of it away to The Chemical Brothers then steal the chorus and song title for a song on an album 20 years in the future.
Have we even heard him mention it since 2012?

It's the one with the "singing shalalalalaaa" bit right? I find it fairly boring.

He quite frequently leaves songs off an album or two. Maybe not the next album but the one after he could do an acoustic album, he's got a lot of acoustic songs in the bag

Would put a tenner on it being on the next album.

"God Help Us All - missing in action, presumed dead after being butchered by Dave Sardy"
Sorry, I just couldn't resist!

Would put a tenner on it being on the next album. Noel does indeed have a habit of resurrecting songs 10+ years old on future solo releases. Wouldn't shock me at all to see it finally make an appearance on the next album cycle.

The next album is supposed to be the new instrumentals Noel hasn't got lyrics for yet. Then after that he'll probably release a songy album with God help us all, Bye bye my family, she must be one of us (track 02) and maybe, maybe Just Let it Come Down over me.
Only they'll be written like this:
(God) Help us All Bye Bye (My Family) (Just Let it) Come Down over me She must be one of us ()

He'll be reviving 'Gotta Have Fun' next. You heard it here first. I often think it'd be very cool if Noel re-recorded all 5 of the songs and put them out as an EP. It'd be better than remixes thats for sure.

I found myself giving God Help Us All a spin on the guitar this morning, funny for it to be mentioned again.
I'm certain it'll be released at some point, but the existing low quality recordings always give me the impression that it isn't quite finished yet.
It just sounds like there's something missing in order to complete it - we should just hope Noel finds that crucial piece of inspiration when walking past another popular supermarket.

I LOVE that song. Imo, one of his greatest tunes! An anthem, i imagine a whole crowd singing "sha la lalala" I hope to release it someday in the style of "The Death Of You and Me" and not change it alot.

Am I the only one on this forum who doesn't like listening to unreleased songs because they could appear on later albums and I might, upon listening to the final version, think "NOEL FUCKING RUINED IT!!!"?

I don't like it because when he release it, it doesn't sound new to me. Same with Chasing Yesterday, I already heard Lock All the Doors, The Dying of the Light, Revolution Song and Freeky Teeth

God Help Us All. Yeah, nice track but I never loved it... it would make a very good b-side though!
I think that maybe 8 out of the 10 tracks on Chasing Yesterday are better than that.
