He was never going to win a dick measuring contest with the government,he's just an arrogant rich fuckwit being treated like the rest of us for once in his life, fuck him, he could always pray on it and see if he gets his answers that way...

You will come again one day to this thread and understand that there is nothing to celebrate. One day people will come to this thread and it will be mostly about tennis (and thus barely read, hahaha) ... It's not to be celebrated -- it was a ridiculous mess, started by Novak and made 1000 times worse by Craig Tiley catering to him like the king of the world at the expense of all the other players and the Australian public, who are not in the mood (elsewhere in the Australian press are stories about hospitals being put under extreme pressure by Omicron.). But now it's over. In the end it's just one tournament. Novak could have walked by a coughing Tomic in the locker room and gotten Covid again and still been out simply by fate ...

It's not good for any sport if a defending champion can't defend their title. But take away all the ramblings and dick swinging of the Aussie government, the basic truth is he's got nobody to blame but himself.
No sympathy whatsoever for him.

You will come again one day to this thread and understand that there is nothing to celebrate. And now the AT medical officer should resign because he mislead Novak into this circus. They were told clearly by the Health Minister in November, that 1. Having had Covid part 6 months was NO exemption. And 2. clearly that double vaccination was required. By everyone. The medical groups also should be taken to task. They cannot over ride Federal immigration rules, both TA and the medical groups are to blame here. They continued to send incorrect information to Novak's team.

It's not hatred, it's simply 'actions have consequences'. People are full of hate, don't pretend they aren't. Hatred is wanting him lynched from a lamppost, haven’t seen anything like that directed towards him. It’s anger towards him and his holier than thou diva like sense of superiority, when everyone else has had to make sacrifices and stuck to them.

They continued to send incorrect information to Novak's team. Craig Tiley should resign in my opinion. It was a lurid mess that in the end damaged the tournament (and certainly fucked up the draw.) But to re-state the obvious: it all could have been avoided, including the bizarre machinations of Tennis Australia, if Novak has simply done what actual billions of people, including the very old and very frail, have done around the world and gotten the jab. He didn't even need to get two. One J&J would have sufficed under Aussie rules. Surely with his lion warrior constitution he could handle one little vaccine ... or transform it into wine!

Novaxx looks like an idiot. His family look like idiots. His anti-vaxxer supporters look like idiots. The Australian Prime Minister looks like an idiot. The Serb Government look like idiots. Tennis Australia look like idiots.
Win. Win. Win. Win. Win. Win.
This has been great to watch.

The young Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz achieved the result of his career by placing in the third round of the Australian Open.
At the age of 18 years and 270 days, the guy from Murcia is the youngest participant in the third round of the AO since Bernard Tomić in 2011.
Thanks to this result, Alcaraz will overtake Roger Federer on the 29th position on the new ATP list on Monday.
As the 31st seed at the 2022 Australian Open, Carlos Alcaraz is seeded at a Major tournament younger than Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic first were in their careers.

It's getting time for a young phenom to come along and upset the status quo of men's tennis. Maybe not yet but it's coming ...

Watch out also for Jenner Brooksby, probably the most exciting American men's tennis player in at least a decade. A few others just breaking out look likely to be factors soon if not quite ready for prime time.... Griekspoor, Rune, and a whole bunch of young Argentines ...
