A couple of weeks ago I went to Japan due to the passing of my wife's mother. Anyway, I figured as long as we're there I'm going back to my favorite spot on earth, Tower Records in Shinjuku (a part of Tokyo). I went to pick up a few of those cd singles with all those extra songs that aren't on Oasis' albums. I ended up getting 5 of them. Anyway, one I got was the single for Songbird, which has (You've Got the) Heart Of A Star on it. Goddamn this song is great. It's now one of my top 10 Oasis songs. I can never get enough of those Noel-sung ballads. I think it's inevitable that one day he'll release a solo album and I already know I'll love it to death. No other songwriter from the past 20 years or so can touch Noel Gallagher.

Sorry about your mother in law and you're lucky to go to Japan. I always wanted to go there... Anyways, good score on the single. That's the only single I need and I would complete my collection of Oasis CDs.

thats one of the few Oasis songs I havent been able to get hold of...any chance you could pm it me? I have no idea as to how to do that, but if you pm me the info I could try. I do have it saved on my computer. Btw, one thing the Tower Records there had was a box set containing every Oasis single from the beginning up through 2005. I would've killed to have it, but it cost about $320.

Yeah, man that a great song. Sorry bout your Okasan in law. What part of Tokyo is your wifes family from? Mines from Jimbocho. When I go with her to visit her family there, I ALWAYS go to RECOfan, they got hella stuff in them stores. Totally cool. I found the B&H singles boxes there for dirt cheap, brand new still sealed.

that is a great song ,but it sounds as if noel did it in one take. i think there are alot of b-sides that have tremendous potential to be amazing songs and noel should seriously record them.
