What I hope... August - you know we can't go back / here's a candle November - lock all the Doors / something new February - a new EP with at least 2 new songs plus Freaky teeth Freaky Teeth again? I hope he will never release She Must Be One Of Us, that demo is horrible, worser than All In The Mind Agree, fucking hate it.

Probably better than a dull remix I'll only ever listen to once.

He is as much as we are. This record doesn't stand the test of time as of right now. 3 months later, i have no urge to listen to it. I blame the production to a certain point. It's good, but it's not diverse at all. All of the songs seem to get the similar compressed, brickwalled production. After listening to it numerous times, it gets fatiguing, as a result, and why some people may get tired of the album. I'm not completely tired of it quite yet, but I just wish there would be some diversity or clarity in the production, instead of it sounding rather muddy on almost every track. Agreed, while the production is okay, it feels toooo compressed at times. Dont get me wrong, i still like parts of the records but tracks like Lock all Doors, Dying of Light bores me. and i still hate the first two singles, which are the worst Noel's ever put out, and yes i included She Is Love in it. Noel should put his balls on the table and release and live like record, it'd be much better. Or his demos which are much more spontaneous and full of life. Dont think it's liked on here but Leave My Guitar alone feels like the tracks he's enjoyed recording the most. No fuss, just a good bass and a good piano and here we go.

Ballad of the Mighty I is an absolutely blindingly brilliant track. A definite contender for the best post Oasis Gallagher track. I would expect it to make an appearance on a 1CD career spanning NG best of release in years to come, it's that good.

The NEXT and FINAL single SHOULD be "You Know We Can't Go Back". Having that been said, Noel will probably select a rather BORING single choice in "The Dying of The Light". I'd also be okay with "Lock All The Doors" but after that no more singles. It's a tad too much when you get to 5 off a 10 track album.

I've gotta say I kind of agree, Riverman & The Right Stuff are my go to tunes, I'd actually be more excited If this remix EP that is supposedly happening is announced. I'm actually starting to prefer the BTWS version of Riverman and would like to hear if Massive Attack actually made a remix or not. I prefer both of the Beyond The Wizards Sleeve versions of Riverman and Ballad of The Mighty I, they are excellent and I love the vibe of them. I'm really looking forward to the remix EP should it happen and I also can't wait to hear if Massive Attack have got involved with a remix. There is already a promo CD for The Dying of the Light and it has been getting regular airplay on French and Italian radio. It is possible it is just a radio single for Europe but it wouldn't surprise me if it gets a full release as Riverman seemed to be Noel's choice for a single whereas the label will want something more mainstream around the festival period. I'm not sure who wants this dance/electro/remix album more, me or you? Either way great minds think alike.

I think Lock All The Doors although I'm hoping The Dying Of The Light. Evertime I listen to Lock All The Doors, especially live, I say to myself "Noel, why didn't you let your brother sing this song when you were still together?" Anyway, which colour will it be next time? The single will be orange. You heard it here first!

As we already know, the first wavelength used for this cycle was ~486nm, for 'In The Heat Of The Moment'. Ballad of the Mighty I is tricky because it uses an unsaturated colour in all of its pinkness, leaving us with no wavelength. The same goes for the 'clear' Riverman vinyl, which is near to the white point in the graph. If the three colours are plotted onto the graph, and all of the plotted points are connected, we're left with a triangle. The angle of this triangle closest to the centre 'white point' (the latest single release) is calculated to be 69.9º, which equates to 1.22 radians. Using Shakespeare's Sister's principle of coloured vinyl, the angle created by the latest single (1.22) is multiplied by the wavelength of the first single (486), leaving us with a new wavelength of 592.92 nm. As you can see, this falls directly in the orange area of the graph, meaning that Noel Gallagher's new single will be orange. Q.E.D.

Whatever Noel's next single is, I hope it gets a decent radio edit (if it gets one at all). The one for Riverman is very poor.

What's the problem about releasing too much singles? Noel said he didn't release Slide Away as one because of that... the only reason I can think is as they are the songs that try to grasp the fans, songs that aren't so good may drive some people away, but Slide Away certainly wasn't worse than Shakermaker.
