I love this video. A rare occasion in which Lennon doesn't dismiss Beatles tunes as "some rubbish I knocked out in half an hour" or "another song Paul wrote for grannies", but shows real pride for what they accomplished. And he's right of course, The Stones simply couldn't compete musically with the Beatles. They've dragged on and on for fifty years churning out records, and as far as I'm aware, they've yet to do anything that's matched the sheer brilliance of Abbey Road and Revolver. Judging Jagger from what I've seen and read, I reckon that probably has irked him.

Great band in their own right but were constantly living in The Beatles shadows until 1969 when they broke up. After that, Led Zeppelin became the biggest band on the planet. Sold millions upon millions of records, played not theaters, clubs or arenas but football stadiums. Plus they traveled by jet before it became fashionable. Poor Mick.

Poor Keith as well I think, have you seen that video on YouTube where he's asked his opinion on Zep and he goes "for me they never really took off"? If Zep never took off, then the stones are just a band that work the club scene.

If Zep never took off, then the stones are just a band that work the club scene. Led Zeppelin took off like a rocket ship to space. They released no singles yet their albums sold in numbers small countries populations would be jealous of. Both bands had that dangerous edge to them between 1969 and 1975. Zeppelin was even sleazier.

Would probably be shocked, and quip 'We weren't even the best band in Liverpool!"

Mick Jagger once got treatment for his sex addiction. He managed to secude the therapist and had sex with her too.
