I don't really 'support' either of them.

Obviously, the whole hatred is too much and a lot of arab nations wanting to litterally destroy the state Israel is too much as well. Still, I can see where this hatred stems from. It's such a horrible situation the people over there find themselves in. I voted for Palestine, because they are obviously the "poorer" part in this relationship. No official state, no "big brother", whereas Isael is immensely supported by the USA and we all know what this means. Also..Israel is a nuclear power. Palestine can't compete with that in a legal, non-violent manner, I guess. Hence, the Hamas has such a power in Palestine. I wonder, if the war will ever end and what it takes to finally make peace there. A two state solution would help, but as long as Palestine and Hamas as a very powerful organisatione doesn't accept the state Israel, this won't happen. There are two sides which cannot be combined. A true shame for the people who live there and have been bearing that misery for such a long time with no hope for amelioration.

The US and UK are responsible of this conflict. Due to the creation of the state of Israel after World War 2? If so then I'd agree.

As a german I'd say Germany has also something to do with it. Okay, it's quite obvious, but I'm not speaking of historic reasons solely. The politicians still feel such a responsibility towards the Israelis - and rightly so, of course- that no German representative would ever dare to criticise Israel's behaviour. But yeah, the US (I don't no much about the UK's role there) is the most powerful participant in that conflict...

On a serious note , as this conflict is centuries old and will never be resolved , Im done caring , they both have committed murder in the name of religion or self preservation or there "state"
Both sides are convinced it's there birthright to the land , what the Israelis do in the name of protecting israel is no better or worse than what the plo did or Hamas , Same result , bloodshed ......when you wake up in a thousand years if there is still a civilization in this world they will still be fighting .... I say screw them both , and actually let GOD ( if he exists sort them out )

Palestine/Israel has many similarities to Ireland/British Empire way back. Hamas is the IRA equivalent.
Needless to say I'd be on the #FreePalestine side.

Here we go...
I'm pro-Israel. I may not be a hardcore supporter, but I believe they have a right to exist, and that they have a right to defend themselves against any attacks. They are a sovereign country that must protect its civilians from enemies foreign and domestic (something they've been forced to do since 1948), and when EVERY SINGLE COUNTRY surrounding them wants them completely obliterated, things can get messy. (Not to mention the guerilla-style techniques—such as fighting without uniforms—used by groups such as the PLO, Hamas, and Hezbollah over the years.) And things will only get worse unless Hamas and Hezbollah start using relief funds for their own people rather than rebuilding illegal tunnels made for importing weapons such as RPGs to use against Israel.

However, Jordan (who owns Palestine) is willing to do the same. Join Hamas then fool.

I agree with that up to a point. Israel do have a right to exist and they do have a right to defend themselves but obstructing the two-state solution is one of the reasons they are having to defend themselves. The truth is they don't want to give any land back they want to settle it and what does that leave the Palastinians with? I find it strange you would support such a right wing government to.

The truth is they don't want to give any land back they want to settle it and what does that leave the Palastinians with? I find it strange you would support such a right wing government to. Israel has offered to give up land, including the Golan Heights, West Bank, and Gaza Strip, in various peace treaties, only to be turned down. That's the truth. Don't let my pro-Israeli feelings imply that I am not sympathetic to the plight of the Palestinian people, by the way. They have been mistreated by Arabs and Israelis, alike. (May I remind you that Egypt also blocks their border with Gaza, Arab countries keep Palestinians in terrible refugee camps, and that Jordan could have made the West Bank a Palestinian country when they controlled the territory for over 40 years?) I am simply saying that their predicament is as much on their leaders as it is on the Israeli government's. The Palestinian and Arab leaders have consistently gotten their priorities wrong, and the onus should be on them to make their people's future one of peace, not suffering. P.S. I don't support Netanyahu. Never liked him. P.P.S. I think Israel should pull out of all occupied areas, and those Israelis who live in illegal settlements and refuse to leave should be thrown in jail. Simple as that.
