I don't often get angry and feel the need to clog this top site up with rants etc...but with all the negative comments towards oasis' brits appearance i feel i have to. So lets get some things straight:
1. Yes liams grown his hair long which doesn't bother me either way he still looked the bollox, but another mans hair isn't anywhere near top of my bothered list.
2. Liams voice wasn't exactly a show of vocal range but was what we love about him, raw rock n roll singing. I couldn't give a shit if he weren't note perfect. that to me last night was liam giving a great performace(jo whiley on radio 1 said how good they were especially liam, and that everyone there was well up for oasis unlike sting etc...from years gone by.
3. Why come on a site dedicated to the best band in britain, a cultural phenomenom and claim to be a fan yet continuously bash them for not being everything we wouldn't want them to be, a note perfect experimental kiss arse corporate machine-If you want that FUCK OFF to a U2 Snow Patrol or coldplay website.
4. I love Oasis, I love the music, I love the fans(most of em) so please all you so called fans start acting like one.
Rant over........aaaaahhhhhhhhh thats better ;D
Cheers

Having watched it back again it was better than I thought. Pretty good show really.
Still think Liam's new hairstyle's rubbish mind.

He's had somert like that for most part of his career and it ain't that bad is it? He looked pretty cool to me.
The one thing that slightly irks me to do with oasis is Andy Bell, That boy seriously looks so unhappy to be in Oasis. In interviews you always hear the boys bigging Gem up but rarely Andy. I ain't convinced by him he looks like a teacher who likes hockey, Cool jacket last night though.

Yep I thought Andy looked a bit tired and out of place last night.
Good for you Dogg for being so loyal to the lads BTW.
I enjoyed them last night and have posted my thoughts on their performance elsewhere. (positive - in case I set you off on another rant) LOL
Take care now!

Why thank you, i din't mean to come across a twat but i do get annoyed at fans(i don't give a shit what non-fans think!) of oasis getting on there backs for the sake of it, there was no reason based on last night to have a dig at them. That last night was real not any manufactured rubbish we've become accustomed to on the brits and for me the boys done good. Long live the kings.........OASIS. ;D doggboy10 P.S. Can you tell i've had a couple of sherberts?

Yeah the guys on The Hour said Oasis "Rocked the house..." or something like that. Yeah Liam didn't sing perfectly in tune, he also gave as much emotion as anyone who performed.

Oasis fans have always been super-critical about the band, I think it's cos they mean so much to us. It's like family - you take the piss and moan at brothers and sisters, but if anyone from 'outside' has a go you're the first to defend them.

I love Oasis, I love the music, I love the fans(most of em) so please all you so called fans start acting like one. i am a fan. i love music and oasis - but Oasis arent the Nazi party, so i believe im entitled to express both positive and negative opinions about them without people like you jumping on my back how about a simple question to everyone - in the ideal world, would you prefer Liam to sing in tune, or out of tune? i hope everyone would say in tune. Personally i love Noel's melodies. they are a massive reason behind the success of the band! So im disappointed when Liam cant even manage the basic stuff - now im not talking note perfect, classical operatic vocal performance (so can people stop talking bollocks like that.... ) but for example, i love the melody of the bridge section of RnR Star "i live my life for the stars that shine..." and i think its a shame that Liam can only sing it in a monotone drone now! and im sorry but for people who say they love oasis and love music to turn round and say they dont give a fuck about melody - is fucking retarded i had 2 criticisms of the performance - Liam's vocals mainly on C&A. i thought it would be a great opener and blow everyone away, but i felt it fell a bit flat because of him. and the choice of playing MOS - not a big fan of it live, much prefer the more acoustic studio version. There are tons of better songs in Oasis' back catalogue to play live at a show like that many positives as ever - they looked great, the band sounded great, as someone commented elsewhere i also thought the guitar solos were especially great morning glory was properly on form, noel was spot on. Thought he had a bit of a frog in his throat for DLBIA but still did well and had the power it needs. so those are my opinions, as a fan. sorry if i've upset anyone my expressing my opinions on a fucking forum!! do some of you even know what a forum is?

Think that's fair comment really.
Just depends whether people have accepted Liam's voice will never be what it was and have lowered their expectations accordingly.
The annoying things are that a) he had the best voice of his generation (and many others) when they started and b) you can't help but wonder if seeing a voice specialist might help improve it but he's probably too proud to go down that route.

I thought Liam sounded damn good, love the longer hair with him and Noel. Kick ass performance, still the fuckin' best band in the world. Oasis fans have always been super-critical about the band, I think it's cos they mean so much to us. It's like family - you take the piss and moan at brothers and sisters, but if anyone from 'outside' has a go you're the first to defend them. Well said man, well said. Oasis is like the older brother I never had.

The only thing that pissed me off was the muffled sound on the ITV broadcast. Not being able to hear the acceptance speach properly put dampers on the whole occasion. Thught the performance itself was pretty much what we have come to expect; the band looking fookin amazin, Noel, Andy and Gem being spot on on the Guitars and Liam... well, liam doing his thing. No other way to decribe it.

As I posted elsewhere on the site, I thought the performance was better than I expected especially after hearing all the negatives. I saw them three times this past tour and the only time it was better was MSG. Liam is still not annuciating and he is cutting phrases short but overall he was in tune (not like the hollywood bowl performance where his voice was clearly in need of rest. I still go back to my theory that I said at the beginning of DBTT tour which is his difficulties w/ annuciation may stem fom having his teeth kicked in? As stated elsewhere, I think the poor choice Of MOS is due to the fact that it is easy to sing. Overall a very respectable performance not to mention TV performances never sound up to snuff.(check states chat shows SNL,Letterman,Leno, Conan for proof. Cheers Doggboy 10!!!!!

Noel was hugging him after rock n roll star and saying something to him. I believe some personal worries or problems. Hope he will be better.

Andy is my least favourite Oasis member. But he's still cool. He doesnt look unhappy...he's been with us since 1999, and the band seems stable now (barring the question marks over Zak). This lineup will remain until Oasis call it a day. They look as cool as ever too. mega band in all aspects

Yeah, in the interviews on the DBTT disc he sounded really on it and excited. I think he wants to fuckin' tour and record again, especially since he get left out on the acoustic tour. Not to mention, he's the bassist so he's bound to be mentioned the least.

NOEL and LIAM are ROCK GODS! Oasis were absolutley ROCKIN. I wouldnt change it for the world. Another thing, i dont think anybody has mentioned this. Oasis sounded better then any other live act there. Did you see the Red Hot Chili Peppers there rockin to Oasis. You could see it in their face, WOW, socks over the D***, dont make us better then OASIS.

The way I see it, Hurricane No.1 was the best, followed by Heavy Stereo and Ride tied for second.

hhahhahahaha
as far as andy being pissy cause he plays bass and only has a couple tunes to his credit, c'mon.... nobody fuckin made andy bell join oasis... he knew what the story was when he joined. if he aint happy cause he's 'stuck playing the bass' well then he should fuck right off and start a band with robbie williams and bald britney.

I think its pretty funny that everybody specualting that Andy is unhappy just got he looked a bit fed-up at the brits
do you all walk around with constant smiles on your coupons everyday?
maybe he was just having a shitty day or wasn't feeling to well or something
plus he's never exactly been one for looking really happy on stage in any band he's been in.
