I'd like to see Noel enjoying himself like in this Whatever video above more often. Just fuckin' get a bit drunk, have a laugh with the audience, sing some Beady Eye song for fun.

At least I'm now looking forward to having a new batch of stories along with the new batch of songs for the next album cycle. Maybe we can start speculating on possible new stories.. "I was never quite happy with Come On Outside. Despite recording it multiple times I never felt like I'd quite nailed it. Then one day Sara and the kids were out so I thought I'd sneak out a cheeky wank to some blue movies I still have on VHS and it just hit me - what the song needed was a woman pretending to orgasm during the guitar solo - it's called fookin' Come On Outside geddit!? So I called up my old mate Gaz and his orgasmist and we had it nailed that afternoon. It'll probably be the second single."

Has he changed it yet? I've given up all hope in him really. I don't know how he doesn't get bored playing the same songs every single gig. Threw BOTMI out for Whatever in Mexico. did he play the mexican in mexico?

The current setlist is very good, imho. Even the weakest songs (Dream On, The Mexican, Digsy's) are quite awesome live. My biggest complaint is the absence of While the Song Remains the Same... hopefully we'll hear that too sooner or later. Wait until you're there, I'm sure you'll enjoy the gig i know i'm in the minority but i love dream on. i know it might not be the best song in a live setting but i wish he'd add the right stuff.

I can imagine Noel singing While the Song Remains the Same for the first time
"While the Setlist remains the same let it go on and on and on"
At some point the AA's version will come out
"While the Setlist remains the same let it go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on "

Okay it does sound better than on the last tour, I admit that. BUT FUCK, BOTMI WAS AWESOME AND IT WAS A SINGLE FFS. AND ONE OF THE BEST SONGS ON THE ALBUM. IT'S BAD ENOUGH THAT HE ISN'T DOING WHILE THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME BUT BOTMI?! SERIOUSLY NOEL. YOU LAZY FUCKER. Oh well, I'm glad I've heard it live at least once. And maybe I'll hear Whatever within a few weeks too. I'm not usually one for disappointment but I'd be seriously fucking bummed if I went to a CY tour gig and Noel didn't play BOTMI. It's up there with TMP, DLBIA, and TIOBI are his most iconic songs IMO. I think him going on and playing only BOTMI would be less disappointing.

BOTMI is criminally underrated, it an EPIC tune.

BOTMI is criminally underrated, it an EPIC tune. Especially the interlude on it. That's where the strings really come to life, and blend with the guitars. It's very U2-like, but in a sort of disco way.

Well, on the upside...at least he didn't switch out BOTMI for Wonderwall.

He just takes the energy out of songs like Wonderwall, Supersonic and Whatever by slowing them down, changing the key and then altering the melody for no reason that's whyI don't like him playing them. If he played them at live tempo just him and the guitar it'd be so much better. Seriously, he could make Headshrinker sound boring.

I really don't like his versions of Supersonic, Wonderwall and to a lesser extent Whatever. Wouldn't have minded him throwing out BOTMI as much as I do had he kept Whatever more like the Oasis song. These versions are boring and he basically took out what made those songs (no I am NOT talking about Liams voice) No, actually I still would have minded.

I like his version of Whatever, but I agree about Supersonic, I really love the singalong to those songs tho, it's what I like the most about a gig

What is the rough setlist for festivals? I'm seeing him at Clapham calling in 3 weeks so obviously only getting 40/50 minutes but hoping Mighty I makes a return

I think there is no chance for Mighty I for a while. Btw, he didn't play Whatever on Orange Warsaw Festival instead of In the Heat of the Moment
