Exactly my thoughts. Why not release Lock all the doors instead? I mean, if you're going to play it on every show you appear on anyway..plus that one IS catchy.
Maybe he realised it after they decided Riverman would be the third single.
Horrible mix, the drums are way too loud and I barely hear the guitars and bass. I think this is why Noel has been miming as of late. They can't get the mixing as right as the album versions.
I'm listening on mobile so that could be a factor as well.

They get it right during gigs, that's what happens on tv

it doesn't sound bad to me. I think it might be because you're on mobile, the player switches automatically to a lower quality with crap audio.

Also I have a older phone with a outdated browser. I'll get on my PC and listen.
nah, it is suprisingly low quality for an official NBC site/upload. heres a rip: 70million records. sounds impressive?
It is if you think they never really made it in the USA
fair enough...how many records have, lets say, the foo fighters sold? i picked them because they came about around the same time as the lads and seem to be popular on both sides of the pond...

Foo Fighters have sold over 10 million albums in the United States alone and 30 million albums Worldwide

so 70mill is quite impressive. especially when they didnt really hit big in the biggest market...

Well...
Yet they can fill stadiums and some acts that sold more can't. It's a strange world we live in.
Glad Noel got to play on America's biggest late night talk show. I still would have played You Know We Can't Go Back over Lock All The Doors but both are fine selections.
davidandrews: hey .... im back after an 18 year hiatus nearly .... what's the rules on sharing these days ! I have a very large digital archive of many things

themasterplanet: A Northern Soul by The Verve! My second favourite album by them. I love the atmosphere of it, it’s very dreamy and melancholic and dark. It holds many memories for me and I think that’s partly responsible for why I love it so much.

AllOrNothing: Up in the Sky sounds like the La's on steroids, especially that Liam Falsetto that I can almost picture Lee Mavers singing with all his big teeth showing

Bring It On Dan: I have so much shit on an old hard drive somewhere but I just cannot find it. Nothing 'out there' but probably 200 gigs or so. I can't remember the name of the site that had all the gigs listed and sources for loads of gigs next to it? I remember RKID 003.

mimmihopps: Bring It On Dan, it must be sadsong.net. I don't know if the site still exists.

gottabecrazy: RKID003 was a great resource, they shared a lot there there really. I wish something similar could be up again.

RUBIKON: I'm gonna restart the Oasis MP3 Archive is anyone's intersted in helping? I ran it in 2000 to 2002 and was a great site. Used to use mIRC to get all the boots. I'll build the site, just need links to one drives and files. PM me if you fancy helping out
