When I read Q Magazine(ten years of r'n'r mayhem) it said"2001 OCT 18:It is reported that liam has recorded enough material with ex-smiths guitarist Johnny Marr to release an album" so what's the story

Johnny Marr helped out with the demos to Heathen Chemistry..You'll hear his guitar playing on "(Probably) All In The Mind" and "Better Man".

Also Johnny's younger brother Ian was Noel's good friend. I've heard that Shakermaker was recorded in Johnny's studio in Manchester, but I'm not sure if it's true or not. Noel was inspired by The Smiths, especially by their great B-sides. You can hear their influences on him in his early demo tape. I've once read that Noel was trying to make as great B-sides as The Smiths did.

When Noel did the accoustic gig in LA, I shouted out "Back To The Old House" and he just looked at me. I think it be awesome to have Johnny do a proper album with the band or some work with Noel or Liam, apart from Oasis. Ive seen a picture of Johnny and Rkid in the studio together but, does anyone have any others?

It would be fantastic if he had played "Back To The Old House" at that gig, jilliam...I always had a feeling that Noel was inspired by "Half A Person" when he wrote "Rockin Chair" btw... What about "Stretch Out And Wait" by Noel? (If he ever covers it)?

I'd love to hear Noel playing "Still Ill", but isn't it too high notes for Liam to sing?

ha just watched the Noel clip on the smiths... then got to watching some other videos (ie stop me if you...) its taking me back... those painful younger years for me growing up in small town narrow minded hickvile.. not fittin in and all...(ha) Morrissey and Johhny kept me company many a night alone in my room... he had such courage and cooth to sing and say all those things we never dared to.. then I had johhny's ethyreal guitar to carry me away from it all

Here's Johnny on "Hand In Glove": "I went round to visit me little brother...There was a chappy old acoustic that I'd left there and I started to play these chords. I was playing it quite clipped, almost funky. I thought "I'm really onto something here", Angie (his girlfriend, later they got married) said to me "That sounds pretty good". So I looked round for something to record it on, but there wasn't anything" I think he was dressed like that when Noel saw him on TV for the first time. img209.imageshack.us/img209/8517/johnnyshadesxw6.pngimg205.imageshack.us/img205/5492/marrmj3.jpgThe Wizard on Guitar
