So Emily Eavis has explained what's happening better than Michael (as always). I suppose Noel could fit into that, but the wording of "penultimate" suggests that act won't be classed as a headliner and I don't think Noel would accept that given he's headlining everywhere else in the UK. I don't think he'll be the final headliner either. But that's not at all consistent with his previous quote: When probed further on whether the bands would be performing separately, Michael, speaking at a Glastonbury talk at the Victoria & Albert museum, replied: 'No! They will be joining forces - that's not been done really.'

After the last festival he said one of this years headliners was "British but the band aren't" and last year's headliners were apparently "3 of the 5 biggest bands who've never played Glastonbury". Two of those headliners ended up being Arcade Fire and Kasabian, neither of which are one of the 5 biggest bands in the world and both had played Glastonbury before that.

It's Blur, probably, with some guest spots.

Franz Ferdinand are currently touring with Sparks as FFS, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the band he's talking about.
Edit: Forget it, I've just seen they're already on the line-up. Plus they're not big enough to headline.

It's Blur, probably, with some guest spots. Makes the most sense considering the new album. Blur and possibly Radiohead? (hence all the new album rumors)

I'd say either Blur or The Libertines.

I think it will be Kanye with Chris from Coldplay. Kanye isn't British. And he's a moronic dick

Why bring up the headliner for Glastonbury in this thread? Do some people really think it's going to be Oasis? lol'z

So I was on one of the biggest Aussie ticketing companies funnily enough searching for Blur tickets for their upcoming shows down under! And on the site theres a waitlist section for tours that are upcoming when it gets announced and look what I found. Could be completely meaningless? Or more to it I'm not sure just seems rather odd for a split up band to be on there.

Oasis are not reforming for fucks sake. Anyone who believes any of this nonsense should be ashamed of themselves.
