I picked up:
2x In The Heat Of The Moment David Bowie - Changes picture disc Pulp - They suffocate at night.
I'll upload pictures later and hopefully get a vinyl rip of the NGHFB release uploaded somewhere.

I purchased Bob Dylan's Basement tapes. Limited 2,500 pressing. I have #2,031. Sadly, no Noel Gallagher or Johnny Marr in my local record shop. *Not a photo of mine.

I wanted to get that one but there was only one copy in the shop. What's actually included in the record? I didn't see any information about it. There are two versions of this release. One is a version signed by Garth Hudson, limited to 1,000 prints and costing around $175. I didn't see that one in my local shop. The version I have is a fake autograph stamp. I got pretty lucky with my purchases considering I showed up almost 4 hours after they opened.

I really wanted I Feel You by Johnny. I don't think I'm going to pay 30 pounds for it though.

Didn't take advantage of any of the RSD releases, mainly because I didn't see any NG or Foo stuff, but I did take advantage of some of the savings & sales going on. I ended up getting four albums today for $28.32, which comes out to be $7.08/album. The haul went like this, Store #1 (15-20% off on CDs): Standing on the Shoulder of Giants by Oasis (was AMAZED they had this, of all Oasis albums; also had BHN there) The Joshua Tree by U2 Store #2 (~20% off on CDs): Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd Waiting for the Sun by The Doors (thanks to Noel for nicking 5 to 1, and leading me to this album) Brings my CD collection to 21, which started back in late-February 2014. #progress

This is what it must have been like on release day before downloads took over the world.
Actually phoning around various record shops to see if they had what I wanted and then queuing at opening time to make sure I got it.
It was really interesting to meet other people in the queue, see what they were looking for and just endlessly talk about music.

Some stores use to open at 12 AM and you could get your album early. It was awesome. Man I miss the 90s.

Thanks for the info, that's a very nice songlist. Glad you got a copy of the record.

I bought
The Everly Brothers - 15 Hits The Zombies - R.I.P.
Kind of wanted the White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan, but I hate the packaging. I've been waiting ten years on that vinyl, I'll wait for the standard release later this year instead of the goofy cover for the limited release

You know, I didn't actually buy it. Didn't see it either or go looking for it, not expecting to see it. I'm doing just fine.
If I see it, I'll very likely get it. But if not, I'll leave it be.
