I know that Noel has almost completely written this album off but I wish he would revisit the songs live and he could shorten them, make them less complex etc.
I would love to hear some of those songs live again.

Be here now songs are not complex, well maybe for a brit pop band, imagine like Floyd play a shorter version of Echoes or Dogs, or even a shoter version of Champagne Supernova, i really love BE HERE NOW, it was my first Oasis cd, and i want that they play'em live and at its length

Well...........that's my whole point. They aren't doing it. BHN songs did not make STC b/c Noel thinks the songs are too long.
As far as what I meant by complex, I mean that there is a wall of guitars every second. Noel even commented that between Liam's vocals, the guiatars are on full blast with layer after layer.
There's a reason BHN is always questioned. I like it bu the obvious is that it is a hard album for many to sit and listen too b/c of the 78 minutes.
I love IGBM but it would be great if it ended almost 2 minutes earlier. You could do that live.

wasnt it andy bell who tried to convince the brothers of playing at least one or two songs in the beginning ...like MBM...but i think liam rejected that idea for some reason...

I agree.... I would LOVE to hear more of Be Here Now. I think some of the songs on that album are incredibly underrated... D'ya Know What I Mean, My Big Mouth, and Magic Pie effin ROCK. I can't get enough of those tunes! |

I listen to the whole 78 minutes and I'm left wanting more. Probably my favorite album from start to finish. definitely not too long. the longer the better. anyone remember the 10 minute Champagne Supernovas from the 95 tours? pure jamming, pure brilliance!  |

Noel was once rehearsing for something and he played My Big Mouth on acoustic, since then he's always said he'd done it acoustically on Be here Now, there is still hope in that!!
I wanna hear Noel do Flashbax acoustically too!

I saw the BHN tour in Orlando Florida @ UCF and that was a GREAT show. I was front row in front of Noel after getting to the venue at 7AM that morning and waiting around all day. (Met cornershop too and hung out with Ben from them for a bit) All the BHN songs were brilliant live but they were coked to f---ing hell and it was obvious which leads to a different style of performance than we get from Oasis today!!! All around the world is one of those tunes that is so much better live, it just takes off. Be Here Now was good too as I recall as was I Hope I Think I Know although Liam was not getting the notes right. Naff stage though! (lol)
I think it would be awesome to hear how Gem and Andy along with Zach would play those songs. I imagine Zach would add some serious punch to the drums which would bolster the rythm section which was kinda in the back of the mix on that album. I recall an interview with Noel where he said he overdubbed the same rythm guitar track 99times on My Big Mouth just for the hell of it. Brilliant!
