When talking about the Beatles, their masterpieces are generally seen as coming post 1965.
But which is your favourite album from their mop-top years/pre-Rubber Soul?
I'd go with A Hard Day's Night. It's still the perfect pop album for me and their first with no covers. The first side is one of the best runs of songs they ever did.
The film is a joy to behold as well.

Help!
Though I love A Hard Day's Night too. And both films are fun. Gotta love Ringo.

First Beatles album I owned was 'With The Beatles' so I have a massive soft spot for that record. Mr Postman is pop perfection and an amazing cover and It Won't Be Long/All My Loving are just fantastic pop records.

Honestly, I think A Hard Day's Night deserves to be ranked along their other masterpieces. In the right mood, and it's the perfect Beatles album.
Pure pop perfection.

I'm a huuuuuuuge Help! guy. The movie was my first exposure to The Beatles when I was 5 or 6. I also love the Dylan influences all over the album. So many classics on this LP like Help, Hide Your Love Away, Ticket To Ride and Yesterday.

A Hard Days Night
As Matt said, pure pop perfection. How they managed to open an album with the run of A Hard Days Night, I Should Have Known Better, and If I Fell, (whilst still having tunes like And I Love Her and I'll Be Back left over!) only 7 months after their previous album, and when you take into account their brutal touring schedules, I'll never know...
