I only know a few Weezer songs but the blue album is going to win by miles. Dont be so sure. Pinkerton probably had a bigger influence than Blue did. It didnt catch on right away but its a cult classic now. I voted Pinkerton today but tomorrow I might choose Blue. It all depends on my mood that day. There is no other band that I listen to that there isnt a clear cut favorite of which album I prefer. Glad someone voted for Make Believe. Its nowhere as good as the first two but its easily my third favorite album of theirs even though a lot of people write it off.

Red(If you erase the non Cuomo sung songs and replace them with the bonus tracks of the deluxe version that's it). If not then Pinkerton, if released near to In Utero but before Kurt decided he wasn't going to be here anymore it would've fared better.

Troublemaker, Greatest Man......, Dreamin', Miss Sweeney. 4 really good songs but most of the remainder of the album is garbage.

I voted Pinkerton too, but I would say Maladroit would be their third best. Kind of dips after Burndt Jamb, but the first half is awesome.

I think that's the problem with most of their post Pinkerton albums. There is no consistency.

I think that's the problem with most of their post Pinkerton albums. There is no consistency. green is almost a ep of songs and its good, until you realize that the guitar solos follows the samr formula, repeat the verses vocal melody. 28 minutes of sterile fun.

Like Oasis it is kinda tough picking the best Weezer album. Blue and Pinkerton are obviously the band's two best records. Blue plays like a greatest hits collection of nearly perfect rock/pop, whereas Pinkerton feels like their definitive statement album with its raw production and lyrics. Really depends on your mood. The craftsmanship of Blue is admirable, there aren't many rock albums that are better than it from a hook perspective. Pinkerton just feels like them making their artistic statement. Few bands could ever make an album like Pinkerton, and I think that's why I lean toward it.
Unlike Oasis I really think you could probably just have these 2 albums and you'd be good with regards to Weezer. I like their other albums (Maladroit is a boarding on being great and Green is fun if a little stale), but if I could only listen to 20 Weezer songs then it'd be the ones on those first two albums. People said their new album was a return to form, I didn't really think so, but hey they have two legit classic records, a great one, a couple of solid ones, and few spotty albums. That's a solid album catalog.
When Weezer came to nashville they played back to back nights at the Ryman doing both of these album front to back. I couldn't go both nights so I choose the Pinkerton night. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to, and I don't say that lightly. Fans were some of the best I've ever seen.

Do you take notes and keep a log of forum posts in Microsoft Word or summat? I'm pretty sure this is the hallmarks of a psychopath. I'm legit scared.

EWBAITE is great album… i think. why 1 vote only? For me the premise of Back to the Shack and the album is to "rock out like its '94", yet the album sounds like the green one. thats good given the last few weezers records, but it is not the best of them all.
