Alan White... dat wonderwall drums HAD a decisive input in the band's most popular song. Awesome drums.
I don't see the fuss about Bonehead nor Gem. Most guitar players can just strum barre chords along the way. I know it's an unpopular opinion, but it's the way it is. It's the fucking a-b-c, wether you like or not. Some people here want to deify them only to bring a sense of... "oasis is so cool that the rythm guitarrist is special beyond human"... chill down, it's just a rhythm guitar, easy chords, slow chord changes, the same old progressions again and again.
I'd pick Andy over Gem because I like his songwriting better. Plus, his experience with pedals and Ride may have had something to do with Oasis sound at that time. I do see him and noel exchanging some little knowledge here and there.

It was close for me, but I voted for Alan. His drumming really improved the songs at times, especially on Wonderwall and Cast No Shadow.

Bonehead added sex appeal to the band.
