On the french mag "Rock'NFolk", the interviewer ask this question to the brothers : "What is your worst memory from a concert" and the both of them answers "Wembley, the second night". So, what really happened this night ?

Liam was drunk off his ass. Band played great, but Liam couldn't sing.

Yeah, it was a decent gig. First night was better though, the reasons are obvious.

but what a fuckin' great gig tho.... you gotta admit. I think it was great television, mainly for the car-crash entertainment value, but not a great gig. A great gig isn't where the singer is slutting and incomprehensible half the time, and out of tune or screeching all of the time. Was a shame. Typical Liam to blow it on the biggest stage possible but it wqould still have been funny and better for the band if he'd have done it at the Reebok gig or another night on the tour. Obviously though you can't control when your missus is gonna leave you! I was at the Friday gig at Wembley and it was great. I told all my mates about it the next day and how they should watch the next one cos it was on telly. Those who did were, shall we say, unimpressed.

On stage for the 2nd night he was dressed head-to-toe in black, with huge black shades. He looked proper out of it. To make it worse the 2nd night was being broadcast live on Sky Tv UK. Its ok when i watch it now, but when i watched live it was pretty awful.

A personal favourite gig of mine. Yes I know the state liam's in. But, the rest of the band are on form, just liam's wasted. Crowd's going mad, and the stadium their in is my favourite one.
though is it true, that liam forgot there was a second night in wembley and did all the partying and whatnot due to that?

I know Liam didn't realise they were playing two nights at Knebworth but as far as Wembley is concerned I think he was just pissed off with Patsy's divorce settlement which had just been finalised and decided he was going to get leathered.
Noel said afterwards he knew there was going to be trouble when a still drunk Liam turned up in the backstage area at Wembley about an hour before the gig wearing his black shades, holding a snooker cue and having a heated argument with himself.
I was at that gig though and to be honest I didn't have a clue that Liam was so drunk. Having said that I was a bit tipsy myself...

i remember watching it live on Sky one. the was a pre gig documentary and interviews. bit of a let down at the time but it's a bit of history now.
at the time oasis were public enemy number 1 as noel had walked out of the european leg of the tour and then in front of millions of tv viewers all over europe liam is drunk onstage at wembley. people were slagging them off left, right and centre.
I honestly thought that was it for the band and they would never recover ... so glad i was proved wrong!!! :-)
