It might be temporary but Standing Here by the Stone Roses right now is probably the most beautiful rock song I've heard. It starts off with the typical Roses groove, and after the 3 minute mark, it's pure bliss that I can't put into words. It almost made me tear up, the lyrics and the melody is so freaking beautiful.
I have many more but I'm tired, been working all night on a presentation. I will add more tomorrow.

I'll go for something not so obvious from the top of my head, looking through my music I can't believe I forgot about this one.

Haven't heard it for years, but Untitled 4 by Sigur Ros gets my vote. I think it was unofficially called "Njosnavelin" and had been featured as a live version in the ending scene in the movie "Vanilla Sky" two years before its official release on ( ). Unravel from Björk and Motion Picture Soundtrack from Radiohead come to my mind as well.
On a forum related opinion, I'd go for History by The Verve.

I nominate Across The Universe. Take your pick: I was going to post this as well. Definitely one of my favourite Beatles songs. I prefer the original version, although all of them are great.

Hard to define 'beautiful' in a song for me...for example, I love DYKWIM to death but it's not what I'd call a beautiful song. Usually a beautiful song is kind of grand, well produced (maybe strings), larger than life but without being ridiculous song. Or a sparse, touching, well designed track. Just thinking aloud.
A few come to mind...
Oasis - Whatever Noel - Ballad of the Mighty I The Cure - Out of this World Kinks - Waterloo Sunset
