I don't think I've ever listened to TSR without remarking to myself what great quality it has. It's hard to believe anything COULD be better than that. But I have to agree with the others who said that it can't match Definitely Maybe's energy.

But I think that's just because it's been around longer than I have, and gets overplayed. I actually think that DM doesnt get played enough, whenever a song plays on the radio its usually a WTSMG track (mostly DLBIA or wonderwall) whereas I never hear the likes of live forever, rock n roll star or supersonic being played, slide away is one of their best tracks...never hear it. sure theres some tracks on WTSMG that dont get played much that are great but the tracks on that album tend to be put out a lot more than DM. I couldnt say which album is actually better between DM and WTSMG but I have that feeling of WTSMG being more overplayed.

Selected Ambient Works 85-92 has Xtal on it so that's better than both Seriously though, I think I'd have to give The Stone Roses the nod on this. It's got an dual atmosphere of nostalgia and summer that Definitely Maybe can't replicate with its more aggressive, heavy sound. Both amazing though of course.

Dunno why people don't like Don't Stop. Its psychedelic groove is awesome. Yes, it's fucking backwards, but that proves that the Roses backwards are better than most bands forwards.

TSR has Don't Stop on it therefore DM is better. Don't Stop is much less annoying for me. I also think you have the best avatar on the forum.

Whereas with Don't Stop I get about two minutes in and think, 'what am I even doing here?' The only Roses song where after I've listened to it, I actually feel like I've wasted my time. And I wouldn't mind - cause there's plenty of latter-day Oasis numbers where I feel like I'm wasting my time when I give them a listen - but it's fucking 5 and a half minutes long!! And thanks! Someone on some Oasis fanpage on tumblr got hold of that new video on YouTube, of improved Loch Lomond footage, and chopped it up into GIFs. Encouraging for some Loch Lomond making its way into the new film then. The band and McGee, and everyone on here who went, always say it was a good gig.

It must have the much higher numbers then Anyway, TSR has only one weak point in Don't Stop - the rest of the album is brillant. DM matches TSR' high points (Live Forever, Slide Away and Supersonic versus Resurrection, Made of Stone, Adored) but it has at least two subpar tracks in Shakermaker and Up in the Sky which puts it slightly behind imo. I've never been too fond of C&A either. Of course, WTSMG, BHN and TM all blow Second Coming out of the water (although Turns into Stone vs The Masterplan could be close).

DM. Is this even a serious question? I'll tell you this for free: All For One is a terrible debut comeback single. Oasis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Stone Roses. Come on man.
