Any Tom Petty fans here? Got stuck into him at the end of High School. Pure brilliance. Great for the summer, too ( UGHF).

One of the best concerts Ive ever seen. Can listen to the Greatest Hits album on repeat and not skip a song. Very under rated. One of the best American songwriters.
A few of my favorite Tom Petty songs

My favorite artist besides Oasis. Not many artists can say they went 30 years without a bad album. Tom Petty can. Also, perfect live, everytime...

For some reason I just never could really get into to Petty barring a couple songs. Same goes for The Boss. Might be a generational thing or something like that. Still without a doubt one of the best American songwriters of his generation. Seems like a top fella too.

He would be my second pick. But I kid you not. I've seen them both ( sadly ) live. Actually saw petty twice. He is very monotonous. But not even petty is a bad as as thorougood. Im telling you his whole set. Is 80 minute " Madison blues ". guy fingers are glued to those 3 notes. But petty is right there

Love Petty. Can listen to his stuff beginning to end. I can't say that about a lot of artists I like. His cover of Dylan's "License to Kill" is spot on. And he was in the Traveling Wilburys.

Also, Mike Campbell is a VERY underrated guitarist. He can do everything more hyped guitarist can do, but chooses instead to complement the song. Benmont Tench is an unbelievable pianist. I'm not sure how anyone can say they are bad live either....it doesn't hurt that they've been playing for 30+ years and Tom sounds the same if not better...

I've only heard it in the video. They must have recorded it specifically for it.
