I know most people on this forum at least enjoy Falling Down to some degree, but sometimes I forget just how amazing it actually is. Easily one of Noel's best songs for me. Everything about it oozes atmosphere and a sense of dread. The whole lyric pertaining to god and especially "please don't waste my time" have such an eerie feel to it. It sort of sounds like the end of the world to me

Excellent song. I've also always been a big fan of this remix. Sounds so different for Oasis.

I got seriously psyhooked to the AA remix when it was released. What a trip.

It was almost ruined by the Chemical Brother remix version which we heard first, I cannot stand that version but yeah, it's a brilliant song. The OP described it perfectly... "dread", i love the synthesizer added to it by Jay Darlington, very subtle yet brilliant touch. It was never done justice live though IMO.

Outstanding song, it's like a Noel sung version of Gas Panic! (excluding Gas Panic! demo of course).

I loved it immediately Thinking about it, it's great that this is the last official single by Oasis. For I don't know which reason I always think of it as a summer song.

One of the best melodies Noel ever wrote IMO.

The drumming should have been a higher pitch towards the end to fully elevate the track. It just feels a bit flat to me.

Great song. I'm still yet to be convinced Noel has written a better song than either 'Falling Down' or 'The Shock of the Lighting' in his solo career yet.
I'm currently putting together a '00's Best of Oasis' compilation which ends with 'Falling Down' & 'Gas Panic'. Good duo I think.

I like the Gibb, Chemical Bros, and Prodigy mixes of it but can't stand the AA one. Maybe only ever listened to it twice and struggled to get through it!

It's a great song, but as ever with a lot of Noel's later songs, never fully realises it's potential in the studio.
I actually really dislike that synth in he song - sounds really cheap and old fashioned, veering into derivative 60s territory yet again. It's a great song, but deserves to be more sonically mind blowing.
I wish it sounded a bit more modern. Like the Gibb mix or Chemical Broters mix, I wish it was more bass driven with the bass more dominant in the mix and turned into a more dancey track.

Falling Down, Gas Panic!, Let There Be Love, and Roll it Over would be an awesome way to close out that type of an album imo.

Falling Down, along with Shock of the Lightning and The Turning are what makes DOYS higher on my album favorites list than DBTT.

can't understand why this and Waiting For The Rapture havent been played yet with the HFB's
writing this... maybe it's another album/time Noel doesnt want to think about (with BHN). and those last 2 may be too apocalyptic for Noel's solo RESSURECTION? (!!)

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly, great line - I think Chris Martin actually used this or a variation in a Coldplay song after DOYS came out.
