Any of you know how many albums Oasis have sold here in the UK and worldwide? I've a rough idea but im unsure? Any help would be great. Also, how much are they worth in terms of money? I keep hearing that Coldplay, Travis, Snow Patrol are well into the millions. So what are Oasis worth? I would say Noel has the Lions share of royalties. Probably around £40 Million? Any ideas?

I don;t think they have the best record deal. They don;t own their own music but obviously noel has earned alot through songwriting so he is rich as fuck.
Unless you own your own music the real money comes in through touring and oasis always sell out so they must have earnt millions at least.

I'd imagine at this point Noels well over the £50 million mark. Don't forget how much he gets for touring, the All Around The World AT&T ad, etc. Liam I'd put over £20 Million. Andy probably around £5-10 Million from his own successes with Ride and Hurricane #1 - they had a VW ad. And Gem I'd say is sadly at the bottom of the royalty heap because well, he didn't have a ton of success with Heavy Stereo. Not to say he's not worth a few million, but not nearly the others. You know, not just musically and career wise, but money wise, joining Oasis for the two of them was like winning the lottery, I'd imagine.

Yeah thats what i was thinking. Noel should approx have £40-50 million, Liam approx £20 million and then Andy and Gem with a few million each. How much do you think they get from playing a show. Say for example City of Manchester Stadium? And also, how do they get paid? Like we all get paid weekly or monthly into our bank, what happens with them? Do they get a lump sum every month? What happens when some gigs are smaller than others? Do they not pick up as much money? And finally what happens when they are not touring like now? Do they still get paid a salary? Or do they have to rely on royalty checks every 4 months? I just find it curious.......

When on tour, everyone will get a daily/weekly/monthly stipend of some sort to cover day to day expenses and obviously what they have in their bank accounts already. At the end of the tour, after all the crew have been paid and all the outstanding expenses taken care of, the band will get paid for the show. As I recall a few years ago, a show in the U.S. cost the promoter $125k to put on an Oasis show. I'd imagine the band gets about $75k (ie, $15k each) for a show like that after all the expenses work out. Of course, that's a small U.S. show a few years ago. I'd imagine on U.S. tours now since they suddenly play huge venues, the pay from the promoter works about to about $20k-$25k plus the take from the concessions. And really, the concessions are where they make a TON of money. When t-shirts cost $28 and track suits $85, the band is making absurd profit every night. I could very easily see Noel + Co. making well over $25k each a night in the U.S., let alone when they play huge gigs in the UK. Of course, the numbers are being slightly pulled out of thin air, but that should give you a ballpark.

When they played Knebworth they received £5 Million UK pounds. Thats what i understand Oasis received. This is after all the promoters and support acts have been paid. So split 5 ways thats a million each from the 2 x Knebworth shows.
When they played Reading Festival, UK in 2000, Noel was reported as saying the band want £1 Million.
So i suppose smaller shows on their world tour will be a lesser income.
It just baffles me how it is calculated. I suppose they must get a percentage of each show. So the bigger the show the bigger the income. How they get paid is what i want to know. Might even be on the day of the show? Once they have performed, the promoter may deposit $000's..... into the oasis mangement bank account.

they certanily dont get paid on the day of the show.
noels always quoted as saying..."once the money came through after the WTSMG tour, we went fuckin mental"
so im guessin they got paid after the tour is done. the record company gives them all they need for while they are on the road but the big personal cheques come later on.
Liam had £17m when he was in the sunday times rich list a few years back so add a few more million that.
Noel id have a guess at more than £50m

1million - 50 million.... anyway they're all bloody rich. it's funny that we are making all these calculations on how much they have cos I bet they don't have a clue and don't even care (well, maybe Noel does)..... and I think if you've got that much money you just don't know how much it really is.

. Andy probably around £5-10 Million from his own successes with Ride and Hurricane #1 - they had a VW ad. . No way. No way? The VW ad alone can net you a ton of money. They can go anywhere from $1k up to well..do the math. I don't really think that the £5-10 Million is out of the question. He's been in Oasis 7 years now and played more and significantly bigger shows than Oasis played previously. The way I understand it, they never hit the festival circuit like they do now. That's a huge source of income. So he's had 3 albums worth of tours, which alone should've netted him £1 Million each at the VERY VERY least. Then you've got performance and publishing/songwriting royalties off of the last 2 albums. But then, I think I misspoke in my original post. Meant to say that with his own successes and the Oasis stuff...

Work it out. A ¼ of a million people. Multiply by the £28.00 ticket price Then calculate all the merchandise. Trust me. They all got £1 Million each that weekend.

Here's a quote from noel.
What, you askin' me if I'm happy? Listen, I've got eighty seven million pounds in the bank. I've got a Rolls Royce. I've got three stalkers. I'm about to go on the board at Manchester City. I'm part of the greatest band in the world. Am I happy with that? No I'm not! I want more!
So 87 million poundsi suppose.

I don't want to come across as a boring bastard (but i probably will).
Noel actually said 8-7 million. Not 87 million.
This was backstage at the Brit Awards in Feb 1996

BUT all the money doesn't go to oasis!. it goes to -Staff -backstage crew -equipment -renting out the venue ETC...

In a Q magazine from the summer of 1999, the Top 100 wealthy artists were published. Noel in 1999 was at £30 million, with the rest of the band at £10 million.
I will see if i can copy the article on to here?
