I was at the gig and I thought the atmosphere was great. Noel's goth remark was about the smokemachine. He told the lighting guy to turn off the smokemachine right away or he'd leave because "it wasn't a fucking goth concert"
What I found interesting is that the crowd was singing their hearts out to all the tunes from the first album. More so then a few Oasis tunes such as fade away and Digsy's Dinner. I really think he's attracting new fans.

One thing I did realize during the gig is that I really miss Gem on lead during the acoustic tracks. Tim just doesn't cut it for me.. I hope Gem will be on Noels side for the TCT gig and possibly album three.

Tim sounds more like a robot doing his thing, well, masterfully good, but his robot playing lacks that bit of soul and passion in his sound ? but don't get me wrong, Tim is good at what he does, he's a great master of the guitar or perhaps it's just because i'm a Gem fanboy

I hope Gem will be on Noels side for the TCT gig and possibly album three. Gem definitely seems to have a lot more confidence in his playing, he sounds very natural and everything kinds of flows. Tim has improved a lot but he doesn't really seem confident. Maybe he doesn't really know the songs well enough? Gem was already familiar with Oasis before joining, I think Tim said he wasn't really too familiar with Oasis before touring with Noel?

Maybe Tim is just a bit introverted or shy. I mean, I felt a bit like a twat when I was waving my arms and pointing and all as well. I rather just stand there and just move along to the music a bit with my body and bob my head a bit and all. Tim seems a bit like that, not wanting to be noticed too much, not wanting to be flashing, feeling a bit awkward.
But I have no idea what he behaved like on stage with the other people he played with so what do I know.

I liked Oasis and I had a couple of their early records. I think most people in America knew about them but they were never the huge, huge thing they still were or that Noel is now in Europe, the Far East and the UK. We're playing sold out arenas over here [Europe] and it's crazy; I had no idea. I mean I went and saw Oasis in Atlanta in a small club and it was just like, "It's really loud and they're not moving around at all. Cool songs. So what?" That was kind of my feeling"

I do miss Gem, too. He seems like someone you cannot possibly dislike. And I'm glad he's still friends with Noel Still, I'm not sure if it's the best idea to make him part of the HFB. Musically probably yes, but it would be weird, cause it seems like a new Oasis without Liam or like a Beady Eye with Noel instead of Liam. Concerning Tim, I have never heard him speak, so I don't know anything about him, but he seems to be a nice guy, just like the others from the band. Can't say anything negative about any of them, personality-wise.

So we went to the gig, and it was definitely one of the best gigs ever. Music wise. The experience was horrible. I was second row, and my mom was standing next to me. At first people wanted to push to get to the front, which was annoying, but that happens everywhere. Then the beer throwing began, but I could get over that too. Then people started pushing so hard I couldn't breathe anymore. Nor could my mom. She has artritis and stuff, and couldn't handle it anymore so the security had to actually carry her over the barricade and help her outside. Noel saw this happening and looked surprised. Then he asked what the fuck was happening. I was worried sick about my mom. Then a moment later the pushing happened again. And Noel then said we weren't at a goth gig and people needed to stop otherwise he would leave. He was really angry. A roadie later came to my mom. Apparently Noel told him to go find "the woman who got carried away" and to tell her he was so sorry her gig was ruined by such vaginas, and to make her feel well and make her feel comfortable. She also had to write down her name and phone number and all. That was so sweet. He was really angry and nearly stopped the gig. A bit later guys started pushing again. I almost thought of leaving too. Then this vagina started to push forward and me and this Portugese girl worked together to push him back. So mature, being a 6.3 ft guy trying to push girls that are barely 5.5 ft tall. Okay and now about the gig itself. One of the best I've ever been to, and Noel sounded great. I really enjoyed it, Noel was joking, Mike and Russell really looked like they were enjoying themselves. And Tim is skinnier than he looks like on film. I cried a bit during EOTR and DLBIA was just a religious experience. But I couldn't enjoy WAL and The Masterplan anymore, because the pushing started again. Hope your mum is feeling a lot better, sad to read about that. These guys almost single handedly ruin Oasis/Beady Eye/Noel gigs with their thuggish attitudes. Hate using the word, but they really are a bunch of c*nts.

I was first row on the balcony and did see your mum getting pulled out. Afterwards I stood between those guys who obviously were trying to create some sort of moshpit, which isn't appropriate at all at a Noel gig. They were all british btw. Some sort of die-hard fan group that follow him around europe maybe? This was my first NGHFB show and it was amazing. Hope he returns soon. Anyway: Fade Away (sorry for the missing 10 secs at the beginning) Fade Away

Yeah could be, there were quite a few people who were following him throughout the tour, I spoke to a few of them when we were queueing and while waiting for Noel to come on. The British girl who got hit was also one of the people following him around on tour.
Geez, where do people get the money from to travel to gigs all over the world.

Another review from the Utrecht gig: www.volkskrant.nl/recensies/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds-komt-los-van-oasis~a3920428/Translation with Google-translate: Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is released from OasisNoel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is not a continuation of Oasis. The band has released a beautiful new album (Chasing Yesterday) and is working on a compelling tour. On March 14, twittered Liam Gallagher (42) a selfie with VIP passes to a concert of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. "Keeping it in the family," he wrote. He was backstage at his brother! Oasis reunion coming up? Alas, we notice it. For now it's all wonderful that Noel (47) with his High Flying Birds released a beautiful new album (Chasing Yesterday) and is working on a compelling tour. Also Friday, the Ronda Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht, flew ninety minutes passed, if only because Gallagher has grown into his role of frontman, also the band (in 2011 in Amsterdam still so colorless) convincing for the day came and there Chasing Yesterday some excellent compositions have been added to the repertoire. That's all good in June, at Best Kept Secret. Beer by the airspaceIn the sold Ronda hung Oasis atmosphere: many Englishmen, lots of beer through the air, much roar in football supporter style, especially during the five Oasis songs that were on the program. Ironically Champagne Supernova and Do not Look Back In Anger hardly the highlights of the evening. They sounded at least a lot less fiery than In The Heat Of The Moment, the lifted by live brass The Mexican and the beautiful ballad The Dying Of The Light, all from the new album. Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds is not a continuation of Oasis, all the songs bear the unmistakable signature Gallagher. It runs much less to testosterone and 'attitude', as in each band in which Liam sings automatically the case. Hoping for an Oasis reunion? Of Course! But where do you want to hear Liam with Oasis, you increasingly go hope Noel his High Flying Birds in the air will keep, reunion or no reunion. Let pleased to call the "profit of Utrecht".

They were right, DLBIA and CS weren't really the highlights. The Masterplan was one of the highlights as the pushing was hardest during that one.

For the UK members on this forum, please don't get me wrong. I lived in England when I was younger and I have a great English friend who's been a huge Oasis fan since 1994. I'm a good friend with his wife too. My English friend joined me to see Oasis in 2009 and Beady Eye in 2011 in Amsterdam, but even he's an English man himself, he hated all those idiots who had a big mouth just because they're from England and Oasis fans before and during the gigs. I really hate rude people. Amsterdam is just 45 minutes by a plane from England and compared to the UK gigs, tickets here are much much cheaper, that's why we always have many British people at gig overhere, especially Gallaghers, Weller, Kasabian and all that. I'm not saying if it's bad or not, because I go to see gigs in abroad myself, but behave like a mature if you're a grown up man/woman. It's really annoying to be attacked by beer shower during a gig and to see all those drunken British guys in a lady's restroom after the gig. Mean Mrs. Mustard, you should be happy that you weren't at Beady Eye's last Paradiso gig regarding pushing. It was much much worser than Oasis gigs.

Welcome to the boards, man! Try to not let the peeps on here kill your enthusiasm because they will try their hardest. and thank you for the video, music sounds so great! Thanks and will do. To be honest i'm not really into fanforums. It tends to get real nasty very quickly while the general subject, this incredible music, gets buried under layers of useless crap. I'm an old fart to be honest, same age as Noel. Most wonderful thing about this gig apart from the fact that it was overwhelmingly good (enjoyed it more than the one time i saw Oasis in 2009. Oh no, i've done it now havent I? lol), was that i was there with my 14 year old kid. Music can be a very powerful thing.

That's not a nice thing to hear. Of course like you said, there's always a chance that this will happen at any Gallagher gig and pretty much a standard down the front. There's just people with different mindsets. I was down the front aswell, going a bit mad, but not pushing people away or anything. When a tune like Digsy's Dinner or The Masterplan chorus kicks in, I can't stand still and watch peacefully. I enjoyed myself, but some people will always take it a step further and throw themselves in there, not giving a care about other people. Although I wouldn't call it a mosh pit, but more like people jumping around which is fine during a gig in the standing section. I guess you wanted a close view and that's why you decided not to take a seat on the balcony? I know this venue offers a brilliant view from the balcony, the way it was designed. Try it out if you ever come back there.
