Went very very well. Possibly the best concert I have been to. Awesome atmosphere. It was surreal to see Noel in real life for the first time (and only about 15meter away!). Noel rocked the house, seems he really enjoys being a frontman. some pics: imgur.com/4XOogk6imgur.com/pOrjvz8imgur.com/xWoeO4O

Ridiculous review. But maybe a biased review, he starts by writing: "I gotta admit: I'm not the biggest Noel Gallagher fan".

Some pictures from the gig last night and the autograph signing: imgur.com/a/Ipm49As you can see, I got a priviledged spot in the second row (just behind a short girl, ha!). A review will follow later together with a picture of my signed Mighty I single

Noel went out of the venue at around midnight (he was the last one to leave). I caught Jeremy before the concert when he was walking around the buses, and I talked to Mike a bit before Noel left. They're all really cool guys.

Definitely! I liked how he dedicated The Mexican to the Irish people as it was St. Patricks day. He said Ireland is the mexico of europe and that he meant it as a compliment. What a great night.

Ok, I can finally write a review of the concert. Apart from the gig itself, there were some "extras" which added to the experience, so I'll also write about those.
The gig:
The concert was in a tiny venue in central Copenhagen (capacity: around 1500). A good part of the audience is on a balcony surrounding the venue, so there's not that many people on the main floor. As I got to the venue quite early and people were not in a hurry for queuing, I got a really good spot to see the gig from. The supporting act was Paul Newsome who was a bit boring in my opinion. He wasn't really bad but the songs had too many acoustic brit-pop cliches. A bit stuck in the 90s for my taste. Noel was absolutely brilliant though. I think he (and the rest of the band) really enjoyed playing in such a small place (Mike Rowe confirmed this later to me). Noel seemed the most relaxed, loose and even rocking I've seen him ever. He was moving around a little bit, as you can see from the videos, and making funny, mock-rock star faces everytime someone in the front row was taking a picture. The audience seemed quite into it and a sometimes bit too much if you ask me. There were a few idiots around the front, generally pushing and annoying a bunch of people. Actually, I've never seen the security guys having so much work at a gig: just 30 minutes into Do The Damage some guy was being dragged out of the venue. This guy was followed by a few others. Noel's face during these moments looked half amused and half worried. I really want to see what he writes on the blog. The craziest moment was during TDOTL (!), there was just so much pushing. I remember one guy who looked like Tom Verlaine's retarded cousin jumping around, much to everyone's annoyance. All in all, for a Danish audience, this was as crazy as it gets. We all know the setlist so there is no need to mention that. I'll have to admit that my favourite moments from the gig were Oasis songs. Champagne Supernova sounds amazing, as does The Masterplan, but the absolute highlight to me was Digsy's Dinner (who would've thought?). I've seen a lot of people complaining about its inclusion in the setlist but I just had the time of my life with that song. It went really well with the rest of the audience too.
The "extras": I went to the gig alone which is always an interesting experience. There were very few people waiting at the venue when I arrived (about an hour before the doors were being opened), so I got to meet some of the diehards. There were people flying from all over the place just to see Noel, which is cool and weird at the same time. For example, there was an American girl who was following the whole tour and even got to see the soundcheck. She was tweeting as The Mod Journalist and later behaved like an entitled bitch towards some girls in the front row (she was standing next to me, behind them), demanding that they make space for her as she has a "backstage pass for Roskilde" or something. It was amusing and sad at the same time. The rest of the people were very cool, though. The tour buses were parked right in front of the main door, and at some point while waiting for the doors to open I saw Jeremy Stacy walked around and immediately asked him for an autograph. People were looking at me quite strange, haha. Afterwards they asked me who that guy was and why I asked him to sign the record (duh). I later saw Scully and Phil Smith walking around the venue. After the gig, I stayed around a little bit just in case Noel decided to come out. Had a bit of a chat with Mike Rowe, great guy. He is very nice and humble (he even admitted to be embarrassed about his playing on the MTV Unplugged gig!). At some point we had a very nice lecture from Noel's bodyguard (not a very pleasant chap) on how we had to stand and behave if we wanted to get an autograph from Noel. We did so... until Noel came out, of course. There were two or three drunk, British madferits who started talking bullshit as soon as Noel appeared and the whole thing became a joke immediately (even the bodyguard was taking the piss now). Noel seemed very happy still and the best thing was that he went for the handshake as soon as he approached me (even though I had my hand in my pocket). A very small gesture but a very nice one for a fan. In a way it felt really strange to get that close to him, having been a fan for nearly 20 years.
All in all, a great night. I can't wait to see him at the RAH in 10 days.
