I went with ‘Revolver’ but in truth it could be ‘The White Album’, ‘Pepper’ ‘Rubber Soul’ ‘A Hard Day’s Night’ or ‘Abbey Road’… they’re the best albums…
…and at this moment ‘Let It Be’ has zero votes in this pole, an album that has 3 number 1 singles on it… just goes to show just how amazing this band was.

For me,
A hard days night deserves a mention here. It shows how great they were early on, how original and how far they’d go. The 13 songs in 30 mins is a perfect record.

A Hard Day’s Night is one of the first albums I ever remember listening to, as a very young child from my parents’ vinyl record collection. God bless.

Abbey Road.
So good that I plan to name my future daughter after it!
How happy she'll be about being called "Road", I don't know, but it's a fucking good album.

Its so hard to pick a studio album as the best
1967-1970 may well be the greatest collection of songs ever though

It's Sgt. Pepper and it is not even close.

A toss up between Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road.

It's Sgt. Pepper and it is not even close. It's overrated to say the album is overrated. Paul is the coolest to say 'fuck you Rolling Stones and you're desperate attempts to be rebellious' and then decides that old Edwardian style jaunty tunes are gonna be cool instead.

Hard to beat Revolver for me. Yes, my favourite Beatles record aswell. Btw, this girl does really cool vids once every two weeks about each Beatles song in the discography order. She's on Revolver now and last vid was about Eleanor Rigby:

Hard to beat Revolver for me. I'm going to sound like an iconoclast.... but the recording of Here, There & Everywhere doesn't do it for me. Paul lays it on thick with a very sweet syrupy vocal. His version on Give My Regards To Broad Street is far better. No double track, less sweet and more heartfelt. It's a great great song, but probably the one great song of theirs that in my mind was botched in the studio.

I like how Paul's older, raspy vocal gives it a restless melancholic vibe. I think his softer vocals on the original are perfect but I agree that it definitely didn't need a double track. This take is very good where he holds on to the notes a bit and less whispery:

I guess they didn't have to listen to every single copy of the album.
