I just wanted to ask if you knew around what time Noel does the soundcheck before gigs. I've read that Noel is letting people in for the soundcheck and it would be cool to catch that, plus getting a record signed. The venue in Copenhagen is pretty small so I guess there won't be thousands of people waiting to get an autograph.

I think the one in Glasgow was mid afternoon, maybe around 3 o'clock.

For anyone who wants to know, I'm standing in front of the Max Schmeling Halle in Berlin. I can faintly hear them soundchecking Lock All The Doors outside. So, it's about 4pm right now. There's a lot of fans waiting, hopefully he'll come out soon. Me and my friend feel like utters idiots, it feels like waiting for Justin Bieber to come out or something. Lots of actually very young girls waiting too. Now he's playing Riverman btw.
EDIT: EOTR followed, now The Mexican is on, which sounds massive even through walls!
Now its Champagne Supernova and some security guy opened a side door slightly, so it's clearly hearable. Will he ever stop soundchecking however?
EDIT 2: We've just met Black Rivers, they were strolling around the hall for some reason. Took me awhile to recognise those Williams guys. No one else took notice though. Nice lads.
EDIT 3: Soundcheck finished 4:45 pm. Just met Scully who was in a bit of a hurry, as he had to organise some cans of ice tea, from what I understood. No joke. Apparently for Noel. Those rock stars, man.

Didn get to the see him, unfortunately. Left at 5:30 to have some drinks, since it was pretty cold as well. I mean, as much as I'd like too meet him, this ain't worth it. Next try in Düsseldorf!

On the way back to the venue we bumped into Jeremy Stacey, who happened to talk a walk outside with someone else I didn't recognise. Managed to greet him at least by shouting his name and waving a can of beer... Then bumped into Scully again in front of the venue again, top guy.
To anyone at the the gig, according to Scully Noel probably won't be coming out after the gig to meet fans. Apparently he's been doing press all day and feels tired. Let's just hope it won't affect the gig.

He didn't come out in Milan either,but fans went to wait for him at the hotel and caught him when he came back,so he stopped to sign stuff and take a few pictures...I'm not sure you've got the same stalking gene we have there in Germany though  |

Noel says he goes out and meets fans at gigs and lets them in for sound check. Never have I heard about this or witnessed this myself apart from his tour diary. Don't get me wrong , I love noel but he's one grumpy ucker

Sorry I didn't reply to your other post about soundcheck times (I wasn't on this board over the weekend). There are definitely times when Noel's come out and met fans to sign things--there are videos on YouTube that show this. Hopefully you'll be able to catch him next time. It sounds like Noel is still dealing with that cold/flu (hopefully not chest infection) that he wrote about in his blog, and doing press all day certainly wouldn't help that. Let's hope he gets better soon! |

It was around half past 4, 5 PM the last time when he played in Melkweg and after that he had an interviwe for Dutch radio, then he came out the venue where I met him and got on my album sleeve signed.

Copenhagen - opening act is performing I was standing next to the girl who was tweeting that! (Crazy girl by the way). I didn't go in time for the soundcheck in Copenhagen (my flight got delayed, duh), but I got to meet Jeremy and Mike and got autographs from them afterwards, plus Noel! The gig was monumental and Noel was in great spirits. I will write a bit more and add some pictures later when I get home. |

Gonna be flying to vegas to see noel, any advice on how to meet him? I would imagine it would be hard to get through the hotel to go see soundcheck. Wondering if I told then I was flying from Canada that I could get backstage? Haha
