I'm finding it fairly difficult to hide my constant joy at the new album and it's making me take a look at the numbers.
During DBTT we got 9 new Noel songs, for DOYS only 7. During HFB we've already had 30 new songs, not to mention the leaked 2010 demos.
If Noel had stayed in Oasis we'd probably have 15 less noel gallagher songs in our lives right now. Long live HFB.

That's exactly the reason I'd prefer Noel to stay solo. Of course, since I've never seen Oasis live, I would somehow be happy if I get the opportunity, but in the end, I think it's great how it is atm. Noel's on top form and we get the maximum of songs from him

best time to be a Gallagher fan since 1997 ...to be a Noel Gallagher fan, yes. I'm very happy for Noel, but I feel a bit sad for Liam and the way their ways are probably the contrast to each other. Get your shit together, Liam, so that we can say the same about you this time next year! Edit: No, I definitely do not want this thread to turn into another Liam vs Noel thread. Thank you!

Exactly why I don't want an Oasis reunion. If BE had kept going we'd still be getting a constant stream of great music from them. But Noel has been on a purple streak since 2004 which to be honest, has made 97-2002 look like a blip and this the norm. The new album is so fucking good, but I expected it to be brilliant, there's no trepidation with anything Noel puts out now days, just pure excitement, he just doesn't disappoint anymore. He's not writing 10/10 timeless classics anymore but at the very least once again he can't seem to write shit songs either.
