Nancy did arrive with the medication but she was cracking foxy and we somehow managed to get roaring drunk instead. I guess the meds can wait until tomorrow eh? Let's hope he's got a doctor's notice in case he has to cancel some shows ... Sorry, could not resist!

Another new one.
That Italian TV show was a fucking struggle. The miming I don't mind, it's the interview.
You have an actual person in front of you asking questions in Italian and a phantom in your ear translating them into English. It can be, and usually is, very awkward.
Here is but one example of what I mean...and bear in mind I'd been kissing the sky with Nancy until 5am the previous.
"Noel...you say that you don't take yourself seriously and that you live only for the moment. I also hear you say you refuse to overthink anything that you do in as much as you let the people decide what is and what is not...but what we would like to know is how do you come to such enlightenment at such an age?"
"..........Erm....Si?"
"I'm sorry but you have to give me an answer.."
".......Erm...I don't know?"
(Huge round of applause).
I started to do a little sweat.
After about 6 months we left the TV studio and were taken out to some swanky restaurant, which was indeed a night club, which was indeed the preferred hang out for yer Milanese footballer.
All the women (and there was a LOT of women) looked like Mick Jagger when Mick Jagger looked like an Italian woman (1965-1969!). Nice enough gaff...Nancy would have loved it.
Flew to Berlin the next day. Met some nice German fans on the plane. They'd been to the gig in Milan see? Very polite. Lovely kids.
I'm sat on the plane waiting for lift off and who should amble on last but my old drug buddy Evan Dando!!!! What the fuck??? I hadn't seen him in years. Fucking love that guy.
Had a bit of a kick about waiting for my band to rehearse with the latest brass section. I hadn't had a kick about for a long time...years. I think it's fair to say the old touch hasn't deserted me... You never lose it see?
The gig was wünderbar!! Excellent! In fact there was a minor fracas down the front at one point and the security team vaulted the barrier and got in amongst the crowd to fucking sort some shit out.
There was a bit of pushing and shoving and the security team reappeared with a girl in a headlock!!!! She was kicking and screaming like a fucking wild cat!!! I saw her later outside and asked her what she'd been thrown out for and she replied... "Just crying"... and all this took place during The Dying Of The Light!! Germans eh? You gotta love 'em!
Just had my first overnight on the bus to Copenhagen.
Horrible...I hate the bus...it is a vagina.
Keep it livid.
ONWARDS.
GD.
PS: Today I have been mostly listening to That's The Way by The Kit Kats...get on it!

He still looked like an Italian woman in the 1970's, a cool one at that too.

I really appreciate Noel posting obscure songs at the end of his ramblings. These are some very deep cuts of music I would probably not run across myself.

A kick about refers to kicking a football around with your mates.

Here's a playlist I put together of all the songs Noel mentions in his entries for Tales... Vol, 3. If you ever had a Spotify account and just never payed for it yet, surely your plan has changed to 'Spotify Free'. Spotify changes it to 'Free' in such cases now and doesn't charge you with the 'Spotify Free' plan. Get on it!!!

New one...
Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere Vol 3: The Good, The Bad And The Bubbly 20.03.2015 So Copenhagen.
A great gig. A small gig relatively speaking. Hot and sweaty. Old skool.
Mega vibe in the room. Band and punter all in it together. Very enjoyable.
It was St. Patrick's night which is always a good night wherever in the world you might be.
I won't lie, those of us what is Irish (which is to say me!!) did raise 1 or 2 to give thanks and praise for the Irish blood in us!
Another overnight on the bus for a day off in Düsseldorf…yes Düsseldorf!!!!
A day off that was as unenjoyable as the gig itself. My first shit one. I guess 1 out of 11 ain't bad and if we keep that average up I shall be most impressed (I'm talking about the gig here).
As the gig was being broadcast simultaneously live on TV and radio it only served to make it more uncomfortable. Nothing like being visibly irritated on national television.
Some guy had flown all the way from India for the gig!
I tried for the lad…I truly did. But when it ain't there…it ain't there.
Anyway today is another day. I'm off to Utrecht.
Yes UTRECHT!!!!
Keep it livid.
ONWARDS.
GD.
PS: Today I will be mostly listening to Let It Roll by Doug Lazy.

Weird,I thought the gig was pretty good I agree, he sounded quite great. Way better than the Paris gig. He did look a bit annoyed though... and the crowd wasn't really into it.

There was some good banter tho As for the crowd not being into it,that's what a German crowd looks like But anyway it's him that was on stage last night,so if he didn't enjoy it I can't argue with him

I was there (in Dusseldorf). It seemed to me a solid gig. But it was obvious Noel wasn't really up to it. I enjoyed myself though, never seen HFB live, but it sure lacked something. It's too easy to just blame the audience, but tbh it was pretty tame.
but then again for 1/3 of the gig I was kind of distracted by some idiot in front of us who kept acting like a dick.
hopefully for Utrecht Noel will be better (but unfortuately Dutch audiences can be pretty lame also). Sometimes I wish I could visit the UK more often, just for the gigs..

So... I've been in Brussels for 2/3 days... can't remember now.
It's been fucking BORING I can tell you that...and raining, I can tell you that and all.
It never ceases to amaze me the amount of days off I get in Brussels. I reckon I've had more days off here than anywhere else in the world... Why? There is literally NOTHING to do here. Fuck all.
Shops full of cakes... Streets full of vaginas with cameras... Shops full of cakes...and waffles.
Good job there was football on over the weekend...saying that, even THAT was boring too.
Did I mention the show in Utrecht? Seemed like quite a few English yobbos had made the trip. Must have been a UKIP away day or summit? Lairy bunch of fuckers. Great gig. Edgy!
The show here in Brussels was very, very good indeed. Loved it. The crowd seemed to be split into two camps: Bald fellas with glasses at the rear (clearly journalists!) and young kids (mainly girls!) down the front. Great show.
I'm off to Paris today for ANOTHER TV show then back to this throbbing metropolis of pastries and Polaroids for some radio show. I think then home for a week or so!!
As this leg of the tour has technically finished let me thank all of you what attended the shows.
It's been great I think. I will see you somewhere down the road. Probably in the summer at some festival or other?
Keep it livid yeah...?
ONWARDS.
GD.
PS: Today I have been mostly listening to Colt by Dense & Pika... Get on it!
