there is nothing wrong with an audience, that enjoys the music. I am standing and staring and listening at a concert, because I don`t want to distract myself with thoughts like "I have to watch out not to fall down, while I`m jumping". And I think noels setlist is not for partying. great setlist to enjoy the music. they maybe sung along, which is hard to hear from cell phone recordings. Yeah I agree with this. I don't remember the gigs I was at on the first tour being much different to the Belfast crowd. I don't get how jumping about makes a crowd better either. Sure, for some songs it might work but it's not like Noel's setlist is full of songs for that. I'm not suggesting that everyone should just stand and look bored, but jumping down the front doesn't make you a better fan.

Okay, have look at the first Youtubeclip I postet. There is nobody jumping up and down, but you hopefully can feel, there is a bit of a tension, excitement - hard to describe - which doesn´t come to my mind, when I look at the current clips.

I was there and I can confirm that there was lots of singing. While criticizing the early crowds on this tour we need to remember that the vast, vast majority of people have only had the new album for two days, against our two weeks.

There's no need to jump around like a madman to enjoy a gig

Yeah no need to jump around, but usually at a Noel gig you expect to see people singing along, that's it I'm talking about the old HFB songs and the two singles obv,not the new songs

That atmosphere wasn't the greatest but there were 7 new songs (OK, two of them had been out a while), AOTR which the vast majority hadn't a clue about and SIOL which only the hardcore fans would recognise. Therefore nearly 50% of the set was "new". As you can tell from the CS videos, the classics got sung along to with gusto. Once the songs get better known, the atmosphere will improve. If he'd done 20 classic Oasis songs, we'd not be asking the question about atmosphere.
