According to IMDB: "The first concert he went to was the Damned at the Manchester Apollo in 1980.
He is a long-time fan of Pink Floyd, and regards their album "The Wall" as one of the three greatest albums of all time."
I don't ever recall Noel mentioning The Wall, but I vaguely remember him mentioning The Damned.

Noel goes on about Pink Floyd and The Wall in Paolo Hewitt's book 'Forever The People'. He insists on playing it from beginning to end in some bar or something.

Just listen to Little By Little, Shout It Out Loud or Where Did it All Go Wrong. Also compare Cast No Shadow's chord shapes to those of Wish You Were Here's. Course he loves a bit of Floyd!
