I think so. No doubt.
I guess even Beady Eye haters would agree that 'BE bonustracks >>>>>>>>> CY bonustracks'
I only save Revolution Song, which was already known, and the new version is worst than the demo.
Loving 7 out of the 10 songs of the album though.

Probably the only area where NGHFB heavily outshiiiiiines CY in. ASGOG, AOTR and LTLSALOM remain 3 of the best NG tunes ever.
If those 3 songs replace Dream On, STC and Wrong Beach and with some better (ie non Sardy) production, I'm not afraid to say that the first album would be vastly superior to CY. In terms of melodie and the songs at their most bare bone level, I do think NGHFB songs are quite stronger.

Some of my fave Noel songs of all time are those three bonus tracks from the first solo record. I feel like Noel kind of phones it in this time around... On the flip side, CY itself is fucking incredible and one the best records he has ever put out (with oasis as well)

DBTT had the worst B-sides.

I don't think the remix should be on there but Do The Damage is awesome and my second favourite song from CY

Do the Damage is class. The other two are both bland and also old as fuck

I disagree. I think Do the Damage, Revolution Song and Freaky Teeth are really, really good. All three of them might have been album-worthy.
Leave My Guitar Alone is definitely a weaker song but far from being crap: it works great as a b-side. And I don't really care for remixes but the ITHOTM is interesting...

No. They are the best. And with all due respect You are an absolute mentalist.
Revolution song could have been a hit single on either Giants or Chemistry
Freaky teeth could have been one of the greatest ever bond songs with a few changed lyrics.
Do the damage almost kicked off the album
Remix... Ok I'll give you that.
BE bonus tracks were below average besides back after the break
NGHFB Bonus tracks were great... But I much prefer these
DOYS Bonus disc was great but none of the tracks were potential singles. Whereas chasing yesterday bonus disc is the bees knees!!

i think they're great, it is probably a little disappointing that we have heard do the damage since november and revolution song since god knows when and freaky teeth for 2 or 3 years, still great songs but not really new!

BE bonus tracks is (probably)the best collection of songs Beady Eye released. I don't think CY are bad, there just aren't enough, but remember there are two more bonus tracks coming before we judge.

Yeah, it's Bye Bye My Family / Don't stop the Happenin'. But it's not coming out as a bonus track. Probably it's just LlAM taking the piss...

What?! They're great songs! These songs (Do the Damage, Revolution Song and Freaky Teeth) could be on the album, it wouldn't be so harder. Of course, the BE Bonus Tracks are outstanding, but this is because the album is weak. CY is a great album and has great b-sides.

Overall I really enjoy them.
Revolution Song is good but becoming a bit cheesy, Do The Damage is a big tune and Freaky Teeth is the highlight of the bonus tracks.

My thing is, I'm not that into what he's done with revolution song. I loved the demo...... So that's one point.
Do the damage is fantastic but put up against Simple Game of Genius, I would go with the latter.
However CY wins the better album battle to NGHFB1

It just shows Noel got the tracklisting right this time. Album to album CY is much better but the bonus tracks aren't as good as HFB1's, they're still brilliant though. Do The Damage is massive, I hated the RS demo but I really like this version, Freaky Teeth is okay imo but it lacks energy, the remix is very good and LMGA is a really fun, easy listen.
At the very least they're better than the DGSS, DBTT and DOYS bonus tracks. Probably on par with the BE ones

The highs of Chasing Yesterday bonus tracks bear the highs of the HFB bonus tracks for sure. Plus CY just came out. Let's see what other songs might trickle out over the next couple months. Do The Damage, Recolution Song and Freaky Teeth is a kick ass start.
