Tuesday, November 07, 2006 -Oasis To Hit Studio This Month Liam Gallagher wants to get going on new album Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has revealed the band are likely to get started on their new studio album this month. The rock giants release their Best Of compilation 'Stop The Clocks' on November 20, but Gallagher is keen to get started on the follow-up 'proper' to 2005's 'Don't Believe The Truth'. He told NME's sister magazine Uncut: "I reckon we're going to start doing something this month, go to our studio. It's the bollocks. Fuckin' old Tudor ranch in High Wycombe, fucking stay there and get it done. Just got to wait for Noel to finish his tunes I suppose." Speaking about 'Stop The Clocks', which marks the end of the band's deal with SonyBMG, Gallagher added: "I want to get this (album) out of the fucking way, it's doing my head in. To me, it's the last of however fucking long, the last 16 years of that label, that's done. We can start again." Uncut is on sale now in all good newsagents, priced £4.20. See Uncut.co.uk for more information. Source: www.nme.com-- HAVE IT!! GET IN!!!! What are the chances we'll have a new album by, at the very lastest, late 2007?

What are the chances we'll have a new album by, at the very lastest, late 2007? Slim, really slim. Think of the slimest thing you can imagine, cut it into half, then half again, and then half again once more. Whatever is left is fatter than the chances of Oasis going back into the studio next month.

If I'm wrong then fair enough, but I just can't see it somehow.

The fact that Zak won't be free until well into the new year would surely put the brakes on this idea. Of course, they could draft in Terry Kirkbride or someone else to drum on it, but one of the reasons for the delay in recording DBTT was cos they were waiting for Zak to finish off with the 2004 Who tour. Why shouldn't this time be the same unless Zak won't be appearing with Oasis any more.
I just think it's Liam putting pressure on Noel via the press.

well I'm still keeping my hopes up. I thought Terry's drumming tonite was very good, maybe they could get him to do the album and then wait for zak and tour with him. Mucky Fingers' drumming is much better live than on the record but I think it's gotta do more with bad mixing and/or production

All musicians do this why don't you go to another band's board and bitch about it there, or get that transvestites dick out of yer ass.

The fact that they go into recording studios don't mean at all that they're recording for the album. Liam's songs are usually not ready at all, and all the band have to work on these. The can just record demos, or make some brainstorm about the album (the way it should sound), then work alone.
