Should he play it? It's technically his song, rather than a Oasis one, and I felt it was very underused and barely played live outside of TOTP, Wembley '08, and Standing on the Edge of Noise. Guess you could call it my dream spot on the setlist.

Thought this was going to be a madonna thread!

But no he should not play it. Boring song and not great live IMOI agree about the not great live. I do feel he could spice it up a bit with a killer guitar solo following the mellotron bit.

Guess you could call it my dream spot on the setlist. Eh? It was played at basically every gig on the Dig Out Your Soul world tour. Play it at an acoustic gig but it never sounded great live because you could never hear him, his vocals were far to low in the mix which is a bit daft because his backing vocals almost drowned out Liam on the tour. Listen to Songbird and Ain't Got Nothin' for examples.

I really think that Falling Down and The Masterplan should be played. Two of his best, IMO.

I really think that Falling Down and The Masterplan should be played. Two of his best, IMO. Those, and Live Forever. He did Wonderwall, Whatever, Supersonic, DLBIA, even lesser songs like Little by Little the first time around, time to do the rest of the classics. And that's what Falling Down is imo.

Good song, but it doesn't go down well live imho.

Wasn't it something to do with backwards guitar parts that kept it from the setlist last time? I would love to hear it on tour - one of my absolute favourites.

I really like the song, but I think it went down like a lead balloon at most Oasis gigs - that could be said of all newer tunes, but ones like Shock of the Lightning seemed to get people going.

No he should not play it. It's the first in the trilogy of Falling Down, What a Life and now the Ballad of the Mighty I. All kinda have the same feel to them. I'd rather he just play the Ballad instead.

Its too similar to While The Song Remains the same which he'll hopefully play.

I always thought it would work well in the acoustic/electric/keyboard setup he had at TCT in 2010.

No. I hope not. He hasn't perfected the vocals at all. He struggles with Falling Down as he does with the verses of Little by Little -- too quiet. But Falling Down is his love child, so who knows?
I, for one, can't wait to hear a live version of TDOTL - Wondering what kind of arrangement will be done for this amazing track.
