Is everyone going to buy Stop the Clocks even though there are no new songs?

As I've said before, it seems the perfect present for a younger sibling who's starting to develop their taste in music. But I'd want to keep the DVD for myself.
'Cause I'm a BASTARD!

I won't be buying it straight away.
My only incentive was for the DVD, which I thought was going to have the Lord Don't Slow Me Down film on but it doesn't so I can't be arsed rushing out for it. Why bother? I'll watch the DVD singles clips and the rest on YouTube etc.
I've got all the tracks, and the tracklisting isn't the best to say the least. Why the hell didn't they just put another B-sides / Singles collection if they didn't wanna put a "best of" out..? I think it's a mediocre CD compared to what it COULD'VE been
As for the DVD, I've got the Knebworth stuff, someone at some point will load the press kit on to YouTube so there is no need til I see this collection below a £10. I'll burn my own greatest hits CD til then, mine'll be better...

In New York on Saturday Noel said the Stop the Clocks Cd was not ment to be put out for the avid fan who already owns their catalog. He said he'd like to see a kid 10 years from now pick it up in a record store and go "who are these guys", like the songs and then go out and buy the albums they're on until he'd own the full Oasis catalog....basically that's why best of CD's are put out a lot of times ( good business move)

Nah, I don't see the point. I have all the songs and i'm arsed if i'm paying that sort of money for a the crappy DVD.

It would have made it worth the purchase, the DVD isn't exactly exciting enough for me to go running to the stores. And, why would a kid pick this particular collection up in 10 years time? Who's to say they won't have the band split up and released a better "best of" collection? It's just pointless if they're gonna release a better one later on as the casual fans who purchase this effort aren't gonna buy the updated version. It's like The Complete Stone Roses CD, it was hardly complete as they hadn't broken up and there was no Second Coming Tracks on it. To me, this collection serves no longtime purpose whatsoever...

it depends... if it's released in here with the DVD, probably. otherwise I won't spend 30 bucks for a bunch of songs I already have. I might get it eventually though, when it gets cheaper ;D

I'll probably end up getting it, but only for collection purposes...I bought the Masterplan the day it came out, but that was when I was a very young oasis fan and just about all of those songs were brand new to me (I now have all of the singles).
I'm disappointed there's no new tracks on it...What is the DVD going to inlcude?
I can't wait for Lord Don't Slow Me Down to be released...

I have a friend who's enjoyed the Oasis music I've MADE her listen to. So... I'm going to buy it for her and maybe another friend for Christmas. That way I'm supporting the guys (it's got to get to number one) and getting through the Christmas shopping list and giving quality gifts!

I'll probably buy it because I collect all the Oasis CDs. It's a good CD for someone who's just getting into Oasis and wants a good album to start with.
