Everytime I check to see if my guitar is in tune, the first few chords of Live Forever are automatically played, I guess it's just a habit now. Either that or Don't Go Away.

'cigarettes & alcohol' for soundchecks. 'live forever', 'sad song' and for some reason 'half the world away' get played quite often when i'm at home.

Columbia Hey Now! Some Might Say Morning Glory D'You Know What I Mean? Go Let it Out Don't Look Back in Anger The Hindu Times Part of the Queue The Turning
Mainly the really catchy ones that spring to mind really quickly, or when my mind is on idle.

I'm a really shitty guitarist but I can pull off decent renditions of Half the World Away and more recently TIOBI, I used to be able to play Hello reasonably well too, but it's been a while since I tried it.
However: I play more bass these days, and when I do I like to play the bassline from Morning Glory which is quite simple, and Go Let it Out, which is slightly more technical, but it's also a lot of fun and with a little practice you can get the same groovy feel as if it was played by Noel/Andy.

Always start with Live Forever and Don't Look Back in Anger considering Wonderwall is frowned upon...

I've recently found myself defaulting to the Slide Away solo.

On acoustic, I play anything and everything - often starting off in G or Em7 and see where it goes from there! My capo seems to be perpetually stuck on capo 2 or or 4 too.
On electric, I enjoy Shakermaker, Lyla, Stand By Me, It's Getting Better Man, Roll It Over, The Masterplan, Shout It Out Loud, and Headshrinker the most probably. And of course RocknRoll Star.

As said before, tune up then a G into whatever or live forever, love playing masterplan, the turning, idle, anything and almost everything really. Really into oh lord atm, but favourite to play is falling down. quite a moody song to play, but can play it loud or gentle with your thumb and it makes sense both ways.
