After Chasing Yesterday, is there any doubt about this?

I'm not a fan of Paul McCartney's solo stuff at all. I only have his first solo album, Live And Let Die and that song he did a couple of years ago called 'New'.
I certainly prefer Noel's solo output to Paul's but I'm sure there are a load of brilliant McCartney/Wings songs that I haven't heard.

I have heard bits of it. My dad's got the record so he's recommended the odd song from it. It seems to be the most highly rated Wings album so it's definitely one that I'll need to acquire. Next time I'm back home I'll see if I can steal it!

After Chasing Yesterday, is there any doubt about this? IMO, yes. Why not ask again after Noel has made about 43 more albums?

Probably too biased a question to ask on an Oasis Forum I'd have thought

Come on... there's no comparison! For starters, neither Noel albums are as good as band on the run is, and Paul has released a billion albums, and Noel has only two out! I mean, Paul released his second album, like, 2 years after the Beatles broke up.

I'm a huge Beatles fan and I'm not crazy about Paul's solo output in general, although I do love Ram and Chaos and Creation in the Backyard. You guys should check those two if you haven't. The first album is also nice. The Wings stuff is in my opinion quite overrated, even Band on the Run (which is the best of the bunch).

Paul's first two solo albums were great - compare those two with Noel's first two and I'd say it's a tie so far.

One major difference is that Paul was the same age when he released his first solo album as Noel was when Definitely Maybe came out.

It is impossible to compare but 47 years old Noel is making better music than Paul when he was 47.

One major difference is that Paul was the same age when he released his first solo album as Noel was when Definitely Maybe came out. Its amazing how young the Beatles were when they split up. George was only 26 if we go by the August 20, 1969 date.

Paul was 27 and a legend when The Beatles split up, Noel only just broke through at 27. Hard to compare, but you can't compare them at 47 either, so if you want to play it like that, so will I.

Mccartneys solo output showed just how good john lennon was...lennons output was far superior...Noel for songwriting is up there with the very best..songs come naturally to him which isnt easy and he is as good as anyone in the business at writing melodies.Mccartney can never be doubted as hes wrote some classics and was in the beatles something that will never be bettered.

These albums are at least on par with Noel's solo work IMO: McCartney I Ram Red Rose Speedway Chaos and Creation in the Backyard
I'd take any of them over the first NGHFB album. CY might beat a couple of them though.

Paul McCartney... Is that the guy Kanye West discovered? I've only heard that one song so I'd say Noel is definitely ahead at this point.

No band on the run or fireman? I never liked Band on the Run all that much tbh, though Jet is a great song. The last Fireman album might qualify . Of late, The Fireman Electric Arguments and Chaos and Creation are the best, but The Fireman one is by far the best. New is a decent record too but not as good. Memory Almost Full? Doesn't appeal to me in the slightest I'm afraid. The Fireman is a bit like Noel in that when McCartney does things that have a more contemporary feel rather than trying to replicate the old days, his work is far superior (conveniently forgetting all this dross with Kanye and Rihanna).
