So in the DGSS liner notes, all of the tracks are credited to Liam, Andy, and Gem. But we all know that one of the band members had the idea for every song first. For example, Man of Misery was originally a Liam song, bc he used it in his clothing line promotion. So which band member created each stem for which the songs on DGSS and the b sides developed?

No offence to the thread or any of them, but why DGSS is like a breaking news hot topic on here lately ?

Hmm, that's strange, for some reason I always had it down as a Gem-written track. Don't know where that came from, either. My only source right now is Wikipedia, which obviously doesn't qualify as a reliable source. I can see that it definitely sounds like something that Liam could have contributed, but it's hard to tell. Gem and Liam's songs often sounded quite alike, even lyricwise. Or as Noel has put it, that Gem was basically the only band member who was able to comprehend Liam's songwriting direction and he'd often help him to develop his sketches (like they share the writing credits on 'Love Like A Bomb'). Someone else might have a reliable reference? en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_songs_recorded_by_Beady_Eyeen.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Songs_written_by_Gem_Archer
