What do we fancy as the next singles then? Presumably we'll get two more. I'm going for...
May single
A. While the song remains the same B. Freaky Teeth
August single
A. You know we can't go back (very feel good summer vibe) B. Don't stop the happening / god help us all

You Know We Can't Go Back has to be a single. It has the potential to be pretty successfull imo - catchy, poppy, happy, with a rather classic Oasis chorus...
Realistically, it's Riverman (which Noel loves) or The Dying of the Light (classic Noel ballad, usually one single per album). But honestly, YKWCGB has some serious potential.

I'd be surprised if TDOTL is a single now, seeing as we've already had the HMV promo single, maybe though

I think we'll have 3 more singles, 5 total like the last album. Riverman with probably Freaky Teeth as the b-side. Then, TDOTL with probably the ITHOTM remix. Then YKWCGB with maybe Leave My Guitar Alone.

TDOTL deserves to be a true single.

I think a Shine A Light/Soul Love double a-side would be nice.
What the fuck am I talking about? I don't know, I don't care.

I'd say Riverman as the 3rd single, and would like to see Lock All The Doors or YKWCGB as the 4th

You Know We Can't Go Back for sure and Riverman. I wish Lock All The Doors would be a single but Noel won't do it just like he didn't make My Big Mouth a single which I though would have been perfect.

The Dying of the Light is definitely going to be a single. Probably the next one. You Know We Can't Go Back will probably be the forth and then possibly Riverman as the final single. Hopefully we get a new Bside along the way, hopefully God Help Us All.

For Chasing Yesterday's 3rd and 4th singles I'd vote for:
- Lock All The Doors - You Know We Can't Go Back
I really like "The Dying of The Light". I was worried it would suffer a similar fate to "If I Had A Gun" on High Flying Birds. That being flat production and cloudy in parts. Love the direction Noel took it on Chasing Yesterday but I don't think it sounds like a radio hit to me. I could be wrong but I'd pick others before it.

I think Noel is saving "Come On Outside" for future release. I know he said that the time has probably passed on all those leaked songs from early 2013 but that song is way too strong to just shelve completely. It will emerge eventually.

Yeah, DOTL is far too dreary for a spring/summer song. Would have been good for fall/winter, but that time has pretty much passed. But yes, I think you're right, LATD or YKWCGB would be great choices. I really don't think he can do wrong with releasing either.

Previously, I had been convinced that TDOTL was going to be the -big- Coldplay-style arena single of this album, especially with regard to the US market. But as brilliant as it turned out to be, it doesn't really feature that ear-catching, radio friendly chorus, does it? The production is surprisingly unpretentious as well. So I'd go with your suggestions, too. While I'm not too fond of LATD in general, the lift into the chorus is fantastic and they're most certainly trying to sell it as an Oasis leftover from the "glory days".

Don't get me wrong, I think "Riverman" might be the best song on the album but not sure if it has that making to do damage in the charts. Granted it would be one of the coolest songs on it.

I think YKWCGB despite being fairly generic could be a summer hit.

While The Song Remains The Same - March /April single Lock All The Doors - May single You Know We Can't Go Back - June/ July / August proper summer radio single The Dying Of The Light - September/ October single
I don't think Riverman should be a single. It's a true diamond album opener, shouldn't be ruined by too much airplay.

For Chasing Yesterday's 3rd and 4th singles I'd vote for: - Lock All The Doors - You Know We Can't Go Back I concur. The classic Oasis/Noel ballad is all well and good but it doesn't always have to follow the same formula. ITHOTM & BOTMI are upbeat tracks, why does he have to release a downbeat ballad (as in TDOTL)? Why not release two more upbeat tracks.

I hope he keeps God Help Us All for a future album or EP release. If there is to be a new b-side I'd hope for something completely new.
YKWCGB & LATD get my vote for singles. No more than 4.
