I used to be a big oasis fan till i found out they were basically a covers band who didn't credit the artists they stole from.
Every song is taken from others and noel HAS NEVER creted any orginal riffs or solos!
The rythm section has always been non existant and most drum beats/intros are stolen!
masterplan, live forever, supersonic, hindu times, better man, cigs/alcohol, columbia, force of nature, roll with it, all around the world, let it out, gas panic, e/tc, etc are ALL STOLEN!

Everyone hets a couple of ideas here and there but Oasis have done it ON EVERY SONG! E.G zeppelin took ideas but added original riffs and drum beats Oasis have no talent as musicians. I can't believe how cocky they were now i know they are actually fucking shite to be honest; i have every album as well. If i interviewed them i would mention how crap they are and that they aren't even one of the top 50 bands ever! |

so don't listen to them... it's not like you have to. nirvana, the beatles, the stones, led zep, all stole from somebody else, there's only a limited number of chords you can use you know.
what making music is about, at least to me, is taking somebody else did and making it sound fresh and new all over again, oasis are geniuses in that department, as were the beatles and all of the other great bands

i really dont mind people stealing from other artists. i mean as someone said before, if they can make it sound fresh then fantastic, its still a good song and thats all that matters. even when oasis steal they make it their own song, in their own sound so its not like a bad cover band at all.
also, cos of oasis and their influences, being a younger person, its been good for my musical education cos i've been introduced to loads of bands that i might not have otherwise listened to. jet's are you gonna be my girl pissed me off for a bit cos its so blatantly ripping off lust for life, but then i figured, who cares, its still a catchy song and it might introduce more kids to iggy pop so everyone wins.

 why bother listen to oasis if you don't like them and coming into a forum and say all those things? you know you will be bashed. just don't listen to them. you may wanna get in a time machine and transport yourself 50 years back when every "rock" song was new |
