I've been gigging for a few years now, playing predominantly solo acoustic sets. As you can imagine, my repertoire contains mostly Oasis classics mixed in with other British classics and some of my own, pretty awful, compositions.
Anyway, since I haven't heard the album yet, I was wondering how well the new songs lend themselves to solo acoustic gigs?
The last album didn't have many tunes that I could easily perform solo. I've tried TDOYAM before, which went down great, and EOTR, which didn't. I performed EOTR like the album version, not the soundcheck one, so I guess it lacked the 'grandiose' feeling without the strings. Anyway, it fell flat.
What's the opinion on the news songs? Are there any that would suit solo acoustic renditions? So far I've heard ITHOTM and BOTMI and neither sound that good acoustically. If the new album really is more dance music, then I guess there won't be many great acoustic moments.

The Dying of the Light seems like it could be a good one for an acoustic set.
(BTW, cool to hear of more musicians on the forum, cheers!)

If you can get a woman to sing with you I totally see the right stuff doable. But without thvsolos might lose some of tge spark that makes it the right stuff.

Riverman would be an obvious choice. Same with TDOTL.

The Dying Of The Light definitely. It's very easy to play on the guitar as well.

Dying of the Light. Super-easy to play (as others have said already).

I feel like this guy should probably just stick to his guitar tutorials, to be quite honest...

It made me laugh so hard how this guy goes bananas to this song I will be always defending him though, he never claimed to be a good singer or anything, i have a lot of sympathy for him. Also if you want to play an Oasis or Noel's song on guitar and you can't figure it out yourself he is the best place to go really.

Anyway, I've always liked his videos. Ok, not the best singer in the world but his guitar playing is great and he clearly loves Oasis. I've taken inspiration from him for my own solo gigs.

He hasn't got a great voice but his guitar playing is top stuff, and you can see he's passionate about the songs. His cover of Lock All the Doors is fuckin' awesome... and look how happy he is! And it's pretty much impossible not to sing that chorus when you hear it: LOCK ALL THE DOORS!!

The guy is good, people are mocking him ? Thought it was good... like a heavier bonehead.
The Dying Of The Light is pretty cool to play with just an acoustic

just played lock all doors on guitar, you're right, fun song to play. Noel was right about this one, the verse fits with the chorus now

I dont know what you disliked about the demo, the verse were weak to me, but now it's really catchy. It makes me feel like it's a DM song with a more modern production. Good summer or driving song.
