the perfect album closer! it's got a positive vibe and feels like an album closer to me.. BOTMI would be on 3 or something..

Yep, Ballad of the Mighty I sounds like a early-mid album track.
While I do believe an Oasis reunion of some sorts is inevitable, the tune You Know We Can't Go Back really sums up Noel's thoughts in the present day: yes, Oasis was great, the 90's were great, we're never going to recapture that magic, but you know what... that's ok.
It's one of his best songwriting attributes... to bring an optimistic viewpoint on a theme that's kind of melancholic.

Agreed, it should be the album closer and Noel should get rid of Mighty I, which is a waste of virtual space

It sounds like a Katy Perry / American teen pop song I know what you mean but we see it that way cos Noel hardly writes any positive tunes.. lots of his songs got their positive moments but tend to be emotional/melancholic in the end

TBOTMI feels like the epilogue or recapitulation of the album. STC served the same purpose on the first album. If the album was a movie, this is where the credits would roll (IMO).
