Yes. I know Noel is a creature of habit but It is now the right time to move on from this song. It was cool to kick off his first solo tour with it but not anymore. I'd much rather he open with "Everybody's On The Run". I always favored the DM electric version with Liam. The acoustic is good but abit boring to start off a gig eh? Definitely agree and retract my earlier post, something energetic and fierce like Do The Damage, or powerful like Everybody's On The Run would do.

It's good to be free made sense for a first tour. Hello makes sense for a second, with the whole good to be back vibe. Plus it's a classic Not a bad idea at all!

Noel has a huge back catalogue of great songs. For this new tour he shouldn't be singing any Oasis songs - perhaps DON'T LOOK BACK I ANGER excepted - that he also sang on the last tour.
Just laziness.

Wouldn't mind if he opened with the electric version, definitely one of my favourite guitar solos from him.

I think it is a great opener, but since it was played at every gig last tour, it's time for a change.

I like it, but enough of the acoustic version. He's got two fucking good openers this time (Riverman and Do The Damage) and I hope he's using one of them. Also, I expect him to play less Oasis songs, so...

So he's played IGTBF since the 2006 Stop The Clocks tour, it's getting a bit old now. I think I was possibly at the only gig he's NOT played it - T In The Park 2012 when he started with The Good Rebel in tribute to the rain that had been falling! Do The Damage would be a good starter I think.

Hell yeah he's been opening gigs with this tune since 2006 ffs. And there dozens of better choices to start gigs..
Want to use HFB tunes? EOTR, DOD and Riverman would great. Want to start the gigs with a bang? Hell, you've got Freaky Teeth, LATD, ASGOG and even ITHOTM would make the crowd go apeshit right from the start.
Want to start with an obscure and more smooth tune to kick it off later? Go with Hello (sounded great in the MTV unplugged), Rock'n'Roll Star (also great with acoustic guitars and piano like Noel did in 2000) or even Underneath The Sky.
Something even crazier? Start off with The Right Stuff with blazing guitars and Sax solos tô show What the band its capable of. Then launch a more poppy sang tune like ITHOTM or LATD.
I could go on forever with this. There are just dozens of better options. IGTBF was interesting when it was new in the setlist. Now, not so much.
