Normally we're all over reaching with the newness of the album (see BE's poll, for a stark example of what is now a very shit album). But I don't think it'll happen with Chasing Yesterday. And yes, I'm going to give this a 10/10. Even The Mexican is enjoyable in all it's quirkiness glory. Lyrically brilliant throughout. Fantastic atmosphere. Very sentimental. Great production. A masterpiece album, this is. 10/10.

8.5 for me, but I'll round it up to 9 rather than down to 8.

As you guys know I don't do scores, just a consensus.
This would be my PROFESSIONAL ALBUM REVIEW of CY.
Better than HFB1 and vastly superior production. Every song fits on the album unlike NFB1 and includes transitions into each tune, keeping a steady pace of excitement throughout. The album opens up mysteriously with Riverman and ends fiercely and epic with the Ballad of the Mighty I. Noel is able to combine the brilliance of Space Oddity, Hotel California, and The Masterplan to form the Girl With the X-Ray Eyes, turn a early Oasis tune such as Lock All The Doors into a modern, pack-a-punch rocker, and maintain a youthul tone with You Know We Can't Go Back. He gives off a cool, mystic vibe with the jazzy duet The Right Stuff, a cityscape ballad with The Dying of The Light and While the Song Remains the Same. The low points of the album are definitely ITHOTM and The Mexican, in which ITHOTM feels a bit rushed and while The Mexican maintains a catchy, humorous sense throughout, it sounds like a very forgettable tune. In conclusion, you have a guy who has used his well-versed past for inspiration and evolved his craft into something modern that will amaze new and old fans alike. Chasing Yesterday is certainly different from anything Mr. Gallagher has done, but it is a good different.

I would say an 8.5, but I'm gonna round it up to a 9 too. It flows well, has great production, and contains a healthy amount of variety in songs that'll most likely have me coming back again and again.

I'm at 8/10 at the moment, although I think I could creep up to a 9 before long.
It's way too early to be considering this a 10/10 album, maybe in time though!

9/10
I only skip track two the rest is excellent
Fancy releasing a filler track as a single, Noel really is flexing here.

8/10 due to the shocking inclusion of The Right Stuff which is B-Side material at best! Ok, so you may all hate me for this but so what, who cares...I cannot stand this song and for me it holds back me giving it a 9 or even a 10

Give it an 8. Because it's too early to give it a 9.

7/10 as of right now, 3 songs i really cant get into. Too much for a 10 track record.

I can't find any reasons to not give it a 10, but somehow I don't dare to.

I would give it a 10 but it seems like it might just be early hype. I'll give it a 9, which I would round up to 5 stars.

I was going to give it 8 but i think it was mostly my initial enthusiasm that was talking. It's a 7 for me.
This album lost it's magic too fast for me. I don't know how to explain it better.
Overall it's an improvement from the debut, only because he tried to experiment on this one.
